My Son’s New Water Bottle
This is an excellent product. I brought it for my son that has autism for when we’re outside. The quality is amazing. We’ve been looking for a replacement water bottle for quite some time now. It works very well. No leeks or spills and it locks. My son loves his new water bottle. Awesome product.

Easy to Clean and Spill-Proof
I've been using Contigo water bottles for years, and they've always been reliable—durable, and great for everyday use. My biggest complaint with the old design was how hard it was to properly clean the mouthpiece seal. To get it really clean, I had to unscrew the top and scrub the rubber seal thoroughly, which was a hassle. Thankfully, the new design of the Cortland 2.0 completely fixes this issue. The underside of the lid opens up, fully exposing the rubber seal and making it super easy to clean. This bottle's lid prevents spills and automatically seals the spout when you release the button, making one-handed drinking effortless. The new design even has a button lock to prevent accidental pressing of the release button.I really appreciate when companies listen to customer feedback and make thoughtful improvements like this.

Great drinking spout!
I have been a fan of Coleman steel water bottles for years because of their ingenious drinking spout. Why? You only need press a button with ONE finger, they don't leak, and in Coleman's steel bottles they keep cold very cold for hours! I talk about Coleman as it appears Contigo and Coleman are owned by the same mother company and have VERY similar drinking spouts. This Contigo bottle has a great simple one handed 1 finger needed spout...doesn't leak, and if you care, comes in a few very nice colors. For travel...via airplane, or sometimes even long walks I prefer a much less heavy plastic btl vs the heavier steel ones. This Conigo's drinking spout is wonderful....no straws to clean, no leaks, can always use this one handed unlike SO many other brands where you need two hands, priced very well. Really just about THE perfect water bottle if you want a lighter plastic one...

Better than the previous version
I bought three of these bottles to replace Contigo bottles that had finally worn out after about 15 years. I was hoping to buy the same bottles, but was disappointed that they were no longer available and had apparently been replaced with this current version. I was happily surprised to find that the current version was even better that the bottles I was replacing. These bottles are as solidly built and as easy to clean as the former bottles. The mouthpiece is better shaped and is easier to seal your lips on, and the lid is smaller and more compact. The seal that closes the mouthpiece is better constructed. The only issue is that I liked the previous carabiner style handle on the top with the hinged opening that allowed it be be clipped on a closed belt loop or similar. The new bottle has a squarish ring without any opening. Overall, I would very much recommend these bottles.

THREE different spill-prevention mechanisms. Ingenious design.
I'm sheepish to report that my MacBook Pro has gotten wet THREE TIMES IN TWO YEARS—from leaky water bottles in my laptop bag. The first bottle, a CamelBak, had a silicone spout that SPEWS water in the low pressure of a plane cabin. The second bottle, a Nalgene, has a clasp that can LOOK like it's closed, even when it's not! The third one has a screw-on cap...and if you don't screw it on TIGHT, it leaks. This Contigo bottle, however, is TRULY leakproof. For water to flow, THREE gates have to be open. First, no water flows unless you're actively pressing a spring-loaded button on the backside. (Frankly, this invention alone might have been enough to save my laptop. Even if you knock the bottle over, water doesn't come out.) Second, there's a sliding switch that locks that spring-loaded button to prevent its movement. And finally, there's a flip-up cap that forms a physical barrier to the spout. The Contigo bottle is handsome and capacious (24 ounces). It's got a finger hook for carrying, it's translucent so you can see how full it is, and that "press to drink" button is big and naturally placed, so that it's no big deal to press it when you want a gulp; it's right where you're holding the bottle anyway.Unless I'm REALLY missing something, I think I've found a bottle that can coexist with my laptop once and for all!
