Love this thing!
First, I don’t get it when people buy something then complain that it’s too small and leave bad reviews. It says right in the description “mini”! I bought this to use in a camper van and it’s perfect! Big enough to be very practical and not take up too much space. The slicer and julian both cut cucumbers, carrots, radishes, peppers perfectly. Very sharp! I thought the grater looked strange, but it worked great for cheese when I tried it. The hand guard has sharp spikes to hold the veggies and worked great. Again, I don’t understand the negative comments, but to each their own. Love this and would highly recommend if you want a compact slicer/grater!

Vertical blades (fins) not sharp at all.
Horizontal blades extremely sharp but vertical blades (fins) were totally unsharpened. For shredding carrots, radish, the unsharpened fins create high resistance in forward motion. Shredding 3 stars. However, Slicing highly recommended, 5 stars.

Tiny with 2.5" wide cutting space and thinner than a dime
Having a Kyocera chef knife (which I absolutely love), I bought this to replace a cheap mandoline. Too small a cutting space for a beefsteak tomato.... and while sharp, it surprisingly doesn't cut the tomato any better than the cheap mandoline's stainless steel blade... and since it's not adjustable, the tomato slices are way too thin. Might be OK for other vegetables - like carrots or zucchini - but the slice thickness may be an issue.I don't expect the julienne blade to be any better.
