Unstuff your sinuses while ironing!
Replacing my Black & Decker iron F630S circa 1993 (see picture for comparison), which still works!!!! I have only owned Black & Decker irons, and I believe this will be only my 3rd one. My mother had a Rowena, which I loved, but I have read such mixed reviews, it put me off, not to mention the price.REVIEW: Black & Decker ICR2020 Vitessa GREEN non-stick soleplateVERY HAPPY WITH THIS IRON!Very nice design! Love the cord reel—a great feature. I was worried it didn't have enough steam holes (some Rowenas have 400 holes), but it makes plenty of steam on the highest setting, #6. My glasses were fogging up! The water tank is easy to fill (not sure why some people have had problems), but there is a little cap over the fill hole that acts like a "funnel" when it is open to fill the iron. I wanted an auto shut-off, which this has, and also the Self-Cleaning button, which this has. My old iron had both these features & I think the self-cleaning feature may have contributed to it's long life. The non-stick soleplate was also a must have, but not that easy to find, now. If you have ever had to use starch with a stainless steel soleplate, it is a nightmare! I'm not sure why the non-stick soleplate is hard to find now, but it is a must have for me! Heats up fairly quickly, I did not time this, but anything up to a few minutes is fine. I don't need it to be at full heat in 20 seconds. The spray works fine (my old iron's spray was more of a stream than spray). The shot of steam is also great and was on my previous iron. I feel like the Vitessa is the newest update for the iron I had, since it has most of the same features. This is not digital, it has a dial, which was not an issue for me. So far, it has not leaked or spit, but I know with my old one, if it started leaking or spitting, it meant it needed to be cleaned with the Self-Cleaning button. Seems to be a good weight, not too light and not heavy—it feels slightly lighter than the old one. If this lasts half as long as my old one, it will probably outlast me!

Great choice!
Grabbed this based on good reviews.Purpose: dress shirts and pants and cotton blazers for 5T-men's XL.Frequency of use: 2-3xweek 10-30 minPros:Nonstick plateRetractable cordLots of steam on higher settingsA little "slide" that makes adding water mess freeSmooth glideAuto shut offs in multiple positionsPrice! Why pay $150 to press shorts and slacks?Cons:-Does not actually spray out water, instead it sort of dribbles out. Not a deal breaker considering the pros-I just use a fine mist spray bottle which probably serves my purposes better anyways- The tip doesn't get as hot as the rest of the plate for the fine work around buttons. Still does a good job, I'm just being very particular when it comes to stubborn folds. Sti workableI'm pleased. Still 5 stars because it's got smart little features and it's an improvement from my 8+ y/o model!

Good iron
I like this iron. I have noticed it does seem to leak. The first thing I noticed was I hadn't secured the cover properly over the fill inlet. I reconnected the cover and still noticed some dripping as I ironed on the 4 setting. This makes me think the steam when I put the iron upright causes a small amount of water to come out and drip down. All in all it seems to work really well. The cord retracts nicely. The iron glides nicely over the fabric I've ironed. One of the issues I had when deciding to purchase this iron was that my existing wall mount storage would not work. I tried searching mounts on Amazon. I could not find any that were directly recommended for this iron. There were however many to choose from. I finally found the one shown in the pictures with this review. Note: I do not plan on using the ironing board hangers on this mount as I have the board in a different location on a different mount. Therefore, I cannot comment on the ironing board mounting. The mount I bought on Amazon is: ZTFORUS Large Iron Holder Wall Mount, Heavy Duty Iron and Ironing Board Hanger with Removable Heat-Resistant Silicone Pad for Easy Clean, Steel Structure. My old mount was a Rubbermaid that was too narrow. It mounts to the wall with two screws. When I went to mount the new one, I found that I was able to use the two wall anchors from the previous Rubbermaid holder without having to drill new holes. All in all, I recommend this holder for this model of iron and probably many more of the same dimensions.

Black and Decker is a great iron to buy... Reliable!
This is a great iron. It is actually the second one that I have bought - as the first one died after 12 years.I love the fact that it has a retractable cord, it is easy to clean, it provides the option to either mist or steam your clothes while ironing. My previous one was blue - this one is green.... which is fine. It is easy to use, the settings are clearly understandable, so that you know which setting is appropriate for your fabrics. I would give this as a gift.

Know before ordering if what you buy comes directly from Amazon or from a partner
The retractable wire does not retract properly, and because of that, you drag it while trying to iron.I had used the iron twice when that happened. I got in touch with Amazon thinking I would return it, but Amazon had used a dealer for this iron. They asked me to cut the wire so that the number on the prong would show when a take a pic of it and they asked me to pay for the return. I refused to pay for a product that was deficient. They agreed then to let me not pay for the return. (Then I discovered that Amazon had written that the return is free with this iron!) I had to take pics of the didn't know how to do, took me a looooooooong time to learn) and then send the pics to them. They told me I have to wait 7 to 14 days for the new iron to arrive at my door. I am not sure the same problem will happen again with the same brand of iron. With Amazon in charge, I would have returned the iron and gotten a different model or brand.
