This bulb was a perfect fit for my old mag light and has a wonderful bright glow to light up whatever space i need it in.

It works! My wife had her favorite purple 2D maglite flashlight for a long time, so it's more of a sentimental thing. However, it was SOOOO dim compared to the new ones. Not being able to have her use an inferior flashlight, I did the 2x18650 mod to this 2D flashlight. You need a 3D printed spacer, find it on Thingiverse "Maglite 2-Cell D Size Conversion for 2x18650 Li-Ion Batteries", and then make a slight mod to the spring/cap or use the Remix spring solution. Now you really need these bulbs, because you have a 7.5V flashlight vs. the stock 3V. It works great!NOTE: On a different review someone said that the base is to small. While true, it does not impact the performance of the bulb as it is held in place by the collar and works just fine for the D-Cell flashlight

This product is falsely advertised for 3 Cell flashlights.This product did not work upon receipt and was thus tested on a laboratory power supply.The product will not turn on until the voltage reaches almost 4.5 Volts.The product turns off at just 4.4 volts.It is advertised to work at 4 Volts.The product will only work so long as brand new batteries are used. 1.5V time 3 = 4.5VAs soon as the voltage drops 0.1V (or each cell drops 0.1 / 3 = 0.03 V)A 1.5V battery that has to be replaced at 1.47 V is not a viable product.I would be suspicious of all these 4 Volt LED lamps being sold for use in 3 Cell flashlights.Get the 2 - 3 Cell lamp that works from 1V to 6V from Ruiandsion

I have several old school Mag Light flashlights, 2D’s, 3 D’s, & 6 D’s. The bulb fit well. The light is now actually a lot brighter. It does not allow for much adjustment to the size of the lights beam. It definitely an inexpensive upgrade. I don’t use it enough to comment on the lifespan but so far so good & the quality seems good.

The bulbs were not labeled with any brand name or even the size and wattage. The promoted SWESS brand may just be a repackager of generic bulbs. They were shipped in a little zip loc bag, not a cardboard or improved packaging as expected when a brand name is promoted in the description. The bulbs were the correct size, after tweaking the ring that was damaged in shipping with some pliers. Light output is similar to original, but whiter. The LED does not match the original lens perfectly, so the focusing is not as sharp as the original bulb. For a simple swap to replace an old bulb, this does the job. It will not match a modern LED flashlight for brightness or focusing to a point.

I've always been fond with Mag-Lite flashlights, have had a few, but have been using cheaper, newer, rechargeable LED flashlights for the past few years. Ran across Big Bertha (4 D-cell silver baton) the other week and decided it was time for an upgrade. This makes for a brighter, higher color temperature beam, not as bright as some of the newer tech, but this suffices. Much better than the incandescent bulb it had, and I am anxious to see how much more battery life I will be getting now. Plus, if I'm out walking, I could beat the living snot out of an assailant with this flashlight much easier than the modern ones. Not condoning violence, just self-defense with a more efficient light source.If you have a compatible flashlight, check these out. You won't regret the purchase.
