Exactly What I needed
I purchased a Lithium Ion Power Bank to power my 12vDC CPAP device while off-grid camping. Unfortunately the power bank produces over 16v and the CPAP device is "smart" enough to protect itself and refuses to run on that voltage. Putting the output of the powerbank through this device gives a steady voltage of about 12.3v...basically ideal.

Excellent product! Works all the way down to 2.5 volts.
I bought this because the 12 volt output on my solar generator is not regulated. As the power in the lithium ion battery decreases, so does the voltage to the 12 volt cigarette plug. My 12 volt compressor fridge has a battery protect feature that shuts it down as soon as the input voltage hits 12.2 volts. My solar generator battery can safely be discharged down to 11.5 volts, which is several hours or even a day more of potential runtime before recharging.Using my variable DC power supply, I tested the output of this regulator from 35.5 volts all the way down to 2.5 volts and found that it puts out a constant 12.3 volts at any of these input voltages.One issue is that it will draw a small amount of current even when it is not under load. If the input voltage is 12.3 volts, it draws only 9 mW of power with no load. The more that you vary the input voltage either lower OR HIGHER than 12.3 volts, the more current the regulator will sip when under a no load condition.There appears to be no shut-off voltage, so this will completely drain and ruin your battery if left unmonitored. Fortunately, my solar generator will cut-off the 12-volt output to protect it's internal battery when the voltage drops below 11.5 volts, but this might not be the case for everyone.

Used to power 12V LED lights
I modified an electric childrens vehicle and added many automotive grade LED lights. I found that the lights would dim and flicker when the child would press the accelerator pedal. This module allowed a consistent 12V output to the lights irrespective of the load on the source battery, and resulted in no change in light brightness whatsoever. Fantastic product which appears to be well made.
