How hot does the oven get?

In the best of circumstances, it can get up over 500ºF. Because it is not insulated, ambient temperature is a big factor. And, adding a second stone can help to store up more moderated heat to keep the lower surface hot without the 'overheating impact' of the single stone.

I would like to use this with a 5 gallon propane tank. What kind of adapter is required?

I purchased the Coleman 5 foot high-pressure propane hose and adapter from Amazon, and it is working perfectly with no issues.

Would this work for baking artisan bread in?

This oven works great I've used to bake bread but the only draw back it is the oven takes the small propane cyl. The propane doesn't last too long so you got to keep an eye on it. Let me know if you need any other info. It works great on pizza !

My oven was at 550 when i put the pizza on the stone. what can i use to make it slide off and on the peel to the stone? cornmeal?

I roll the dough onto the mat and make the pizza. I bake it on the mat until the dough firms up about 2 minutes and then slide the mat out so the crust will crisp up.
