Really like these chairs, just know that they will float on the tanning ledge and then into the pool if you are not sitting on them.

Like many of you, I could not justify paying $699 plus shipping and tax for the purpose made ledge loungers. For $176 each on Amazon, I decided to give a pair of these a try. During my research, people mentioned drilling holes in the loungers to fill with water. I did not run across one set of pictures to show how many and where exactly people were drilling the holes. I decided to conduct my own experiment. Here is what I did...- I drilled a hole at the top of the lounger- the size was 7/8" to accommodate a rubber grommet that I decided to use as a plug- the rubber grommets were purchased on Amazon and are normally use for punch outs in electrical panels to protect wiring from the sharp metal edges- as I hoped, the centers of the grommets were solid- as part of my experiment on one lounger, I drilled two holes for the top portion- on the other I drilled a single hole for the top portion (fyi, for the lower portion of the loungers, I drilled a single hole on both loungers)- contrary to common belief the lounger with the single hole at the top portion filled with water just as quickly as having two holes in the top portion- to help weigh down the lower portion of the lounger, I drilled a hole for a grommet on the side panel of the lounger at the peak of the section (the area below where your knees rest)- I filled the back portion about 1/2 way up with swimming pool water- I filled the lower portion with water up to the hole I drilled in the side- I plugged the holes with the rubber grommets to give a clean look and to keep the water inside- The grommets have a groove in the middle for you to sandwich the plastic wall of the lounger- I used a small screwdriver to get the grommet to sit correctlyAs far as the actual loungers - here are my initial impressions:For $176 each, they were worth the experiment. The weight of the water in the upper panel does make the plastic bulge a little bit. It actually helps with lumbar support when you use the lounger. The loungers stay put on the baja shelf and do not move around at all. Fyi, my baja shelf is about 6 inches deep. I hope this was helpful.

We wanted pool ledge chairs for use in the pool. Name brands cost so much!! We just drilled holes in each side of these and they work great and look the same. Great deal!

Ok so I bought this as a cheaper alternative the the ledge lounger brand as many others did. First it arrived in a ripped up box and where the box had been ripped the white plastic had black marks all on it like from being dragged in the delivery truck and such. But after much debate I kept it. I had my husband drill the holes in it so it wouldn’t float up got it on our ledge and our ledge is deeper more like a second step deep. So when I sit in it the water is basically up to my neck almost lol. Our other pool had a 12” deep shelf and think these would be perfect for ones like that. So check the depth of your pool shelf if using it for that. If your buying it for a raft or lounge chair on the ground I would move on and choose something else! As a raft it’s very hard to balance on ( we tried it before drilling the holes in it ) ! On the ground it’s just hard and very uncomfortable and the texture on it leaves weird marks on the backs of your thighs. So in summary if your using it on a shallow pool ledge and are willing to drill the holes in it 👍🏻👍🏻As a raft or on ground lounger 👎👎

they fold up nice so when its windy they don't blow around the pool. They float, so I drilled a couple of holes in them, and now they don't float away from the Baja ledge. They are low enough that your seat is in the water, all in all a good chaise for the pool

The media could not be loaded. This product is represented falsely. The seller makes you believe this lounger will sit on your Malibu shelf for sunbathing and relaxation. The reality is that it floats away and will not stay in an upright position when in the water- even if you pull out the plug holes to fill it with water to supposedly weigh it down.If you decide to lay on it in the water, the head of the lounger stays tilted back and down and it’s quite a rodeo getting on and off!It fails as a deck lounger because the seat is so low to the ground. It is not comfortable to get in or out of.The video posted with the description of this item is for a “Kai” brand shelf lounger which costs more than 1000.00. This leads you to believe that it is the ultimate pool shelf. It is not!Save yourself the hassle unless it comes with a free return.

These are cheap alternative to deck chairs and sit in the water but they use cheap hardware that start to rust immediately in a regular chlorine pool, too bad they don't use stainless steel hardware can't cost but a couple of bucks more! We like them but disappointed at the same time!The bolts that rust are chrome plated but not very good chrome!Remove the bolts and sicone geese them right away before use or sitting in the water.Oh and you must drill small holes in the bottoms of each piece 2 @ 1/8" in each bottom corner, then they will slowly get enough water in them to stay set on a sun deck.

Perfect way to lay in the Baja area of your pool. Looks great, very durable, and comfy. I love this product.
