As it turns out do buy this clutch it's fantastic.
I installed this clutch about 5 months ago with a new flywheel and new transmission. The clutch was great at first then I started hearing a faint squealing which has evolved into an unmistakable release bearing problem so now I'm preparing to remove the transfer case and transmission again. I've put 400k miles on this truck and this is the 3rd clutch. The first two times I took whatever the parts guy put on the counter and had no problems. This time I thought I'd spend the money for a better brand clutch and it was a huge mistake so now I'm going to do what you should do rather than buy this garbage. I'm going to a chain parts house and I'm going to buy whatever they put on the counter. Unfortunately, before this problem developed I installed a clutch in a friend's vehicle and because at the time I was still satisfied with mine guess which one I installed in his. I'm sure I'll have an apology to make in the near future. Apparently from what I can gather this release bearing problem is not new and many are it's victims so given this fact I have a question for whomever is in charge at Luk clutches. If you know this is a problem why don't you fix it? And yes I read the bulletin on how to properly install the release bearing and yes I installed it correctly. So it seems the only apology I owe is one to Luk clutches. While searching for the bullitin regarding the release bearing installation, just to double check that I had done it correctly I stumbled upon a TSB from Chevrolet detailing the exact problem I was having. It explained the problem and the solution and how it was miss diagnost as a release bearing problem the majority of the time. After completing the steps the TSB offered as the solution the problem was gone. The clutch is as smooth as silk now and I couldn't be happier. I've changed my rating to to a well deserved 5 stars. I should've investigated further before or wrote my review and I hope Luk clutches will accept my apologies.

Good piece of steel
This went into my 89 K1500 pickup. I had no clue what to order except my mechanic told me to get a LuK. There were two different models that fit my truck, one weighed 23 pounds, the this one was 28 pounds. I figured the more weight, the longer it would last. Installed as easy as a clutch can, which is never really that easy, but that is the vehicles fault. I would say this is a higher end clutch, as the fit and finish on it are very nice. It came with a new pilot bearing, throw out bearing, and alignment tool. I highly recommend this product.

Great product..EXCEPT**
I have put this clutch kit in two of my trucks. And the disc and pressure plate are both awesome and hold up to the abuse of large tires and a nasty motor. HOWEVER both times the throwout bearing has been off-center. It was installed in the first truck before I knew any better and caused a loud clunking noise in neutral. The second truck I used a different throw out bearing and the issue was resolved. I would/will purchase again but beware of the throwout bearing buy a better one. other than that zero complaints.

Great clutch…missing parts
I was stoked to get this awesome clutch but when I opened the box it was missing the alignment tool and the bushing… I just went down to the auto part store to get the that stuff… kinda a bummer but over all I think the clutch is great, this was a talked in a Chevy 6.2 diesel with the sm465 transmission, i coupled it with a hydraulic throw out bearing from American Powertrain
