Do not use an impact and use the torque specs.
Fit perfectly, you really have to warm up those Toyotas before trying to remove the stock one or she will not budge especially when the person who owns the vehicle has their oil changed by somebody using an impact to put the oil filter on. But this worked perfectly fit right in the slot on 14 Toyota rav 4. Metal housing so much better than the plastic, looks better as well, o-rings included plug up and go, solid lock in place with the metal housing.

Solid
Thick metal. Much better than plastic OEM. Comes with O ring. ** Check the drain plug on this when installing. Mine was loose. Other than that. Good purchase.

Like it better than stock plastic part
I was given a 2009 Rav4 to drive. It had obviously been sitting for a while as the owner is a new doctor. It was overdue for an oil change so that was high on my list of getting this vehicle back to proper condition and doing any maintenance upgrading parts as I can. It is hard to tell if these brands of filter housings that look identical are all made from one source for a number of brands or are actually independently manufactured. If that was known one could just buy the least expensive one. I can only speak to this brand I chose. The stock Toyota part is made of plastic. The filter wrenches with slots for those on the filter housing just damage the plastic when changing. I decided to go with an aluminum part and am very glad I did. This part arrived in a box and the first thing I noticed was how clean the part was and how well the CNC machining was. One nice difference between this part vs OEM is with this part the Oring was already installed and at the top of the threads. The stock part has the Oring placed mostly near the top of the threads but there is nothing that ensures it stays there upon changing the part. That is a significant advantage in favor of this aluminum part. The threads are well machined and after applying a tiny amount of the new motor oil on the O ring and filling the housing with some of the new oil it was a nice fit of the threads of this part and those on the engine.Once I was done with the oil change I put a white towel under the car where the oil pan drain plug and this cap were over it. I let it sit then started the car and let it run for a while before driving it. There was not a drop of oil so the seal is good. This part doesn't need to be changed every oil change. Just clean the housing and the threads on the part and the threads it mates with on the motor. Do install a new O ring. Apply a tiny bit of the new motor oil on the O ring, then install your new filter media and fill the housing with new oil before installing to help prevent any dry running.I won't be using a plastic part again.
