Hated taking my ac out the window. Bought this so I could keep it in window throughout the winter and is def worth it. Saving space in my garage

I have a 15,000 BTU window mounted air conditioner that I didn't want to remove for the winter especially during Covid. I can't put it in or take it out by myself so decided to leave it in for the winter. I have a window brace thing for the air conditioner and most covers go completely around the entire unit. I needed one that covered top, sides, back, but not bottom bc of brace. This worked like a charm. I've had it on unit for 4+ months now through 50+ MPH winds and snow and rain storms, and it has held up perfectly. Hasn't moved or shifted. Works great. Extremely happy with purchase. If you have a large window unit this works well.

I assumed this wrapped around the whole window unit - it doesn't. This cover is only designed to cover the top, sides, and back fins. There is no protection for the bottom. If your A/C is smaller than the cover, you'll have some extra to wrap partways around the bottom. So - this cover will help keep off dirt and water. It won't really insulate anything - partly because it has no insulation, and party because it leaves the bottom open. (If your A/C uses bottom supports, and you live with mild weather, you might actually like that the cover has no bottom)Also the strap is long and wimpy. To secure this cover, you'll need bunjee cords or tape.

Bottom open. I tried this thing upside down, this way and that. Product looked like crap hanging on AC. IT DOES NOT FIT any way whatsoever. Save your money! I threw it out.

While this isn't the exact dimensions of my AC, Frigidaire 15,100 BTU 115V Window-Mounted Median Air Conditioner, but it fits snugly enough. I only put it on to check the fit because I live in SoCal and it is the middle of the summer, but I wanted to make sure that it fit. (Make sure you tell people in your home if you put it on so no one tries to use the AC while it is on. My husband didn't know it was on and it tripped the breaker three times and caused quite a headache before he realized the cover was on. I had a private chuckle when I came home.) The straps are long enough to wrap around the air conditioner and keep the cover on. Has stayed on during windy conditions.

This product is one of very few options in this product category, and is far from perfect. It covers only 4 sides of the exposed AC, not including the bottom (or top in theory if you flipped it around). This is unclear from the photos and is disappointing, as without a bottom panel, it's hard to create any kind of seal on the back to prevent drafts. There are two black elastic straps to secure it in place. It's a little unclear how they were intended to be wrapped, but after fiddling with it they do an ok job holding it in position, but little to keep it from sliding off the end of the AC. More ways to secure it would make it a much better product.It seems sturdy enough that I'm not worried about the material breaking, although I would be surprised to see the elastic straps hold up through multiple freezes and thaws.There aren't a lot of options, so this may be your best bet for the price, but this is an easy product category to disrupt
