PAW Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay! (Nintendo Switch)

My 5-year old daughter (who loves all things Paw Patrol) has been having a blast playing this game. I'd guess we're about 30-40% of our way through the game at this point. So far there haven't been any parts that have been too difficult for her to do by herself. She's able to navigate the game menus without asking for any help from me.The game is good about showing which button(s) you need to press for each task. If you fail a certain task, you immediately are able to repeat the task until you succeed. When it comes to reading the instructions or the menus, the game will say the words out loud in case your child isn't up to reading by themselves.There's a story mode as well as minigames to choose from. Both modes allow you to play with 1 or 2 players. What I really like about the 2-player mode is that you the second player can join and exit the game at will when playing during story mode. In other words, if I'm playing with my daughter but then need to take care of something, I can stop playing and she doesn't need to exit the level.Most of the minigames have multiple difficulty levels so your kid will be able to find something that's just the right amount of challenge. There's only a couple of levels and minigames open when you start, but the locked levels/minigames open quickly as you play.There look to be enough different story mode missions and minigames to keep a kid interested. I figure if my daughter can get 20 hours of playtime out of a game then it's worthwhile, and she'll easily get 20 hours from this game, in fact she's pretty close to that threshold already and she's having just as much fun as she did when we first opened the game.I've read other reviews about the game locking up when playing in 2-player mode. This has NOT been my experience, the game has had no technical issues at all that I've noticed. So whatever was causing that issue for those other reviewers, either it's been patched or it's an issue that doesn't affect my Switch.To conclude I would recommend this game to any parent who has a kid who is into Paw Patrol. Older kids would probably find it too easy, but at that age the kids probably aren't going to be into Paw Patrol anymore in any case.

A perfect first console game for my newly turned 5yo. She was able to figure out how to play with little to no help from me. It speaks the directions, for those who are unable to read the prompts yet

A great improvement on the first paw patrol game for the switch. This one is third person and my son was pleasantly surprised when we saw that.(the first paw patrol game was only a side scrolling game)
