Does the job.
As stated no drilling required, and they fit very easily. But one of the lids on my two bins has a flange/handle on top of the bin even though two handles are on the lid corners resulting in the L shape plate resting on that which bent downwards when depressing the plate to insert the lock into a hole to provide a tight locking fit. I therefore did chain drill a slot under the bin lid overhang which should prevent water ingress, so as to slide in the rounded end of the plate into the lid, this provided a much firmer locking pressure on the lid as with the other bin. Having read some of the comments before purchase of 2 of these locking devices I would say the combination locks do seem a little flimsy but what do you expect for the money, get real, they are included in the price which is handy as when it turns up you have a instantly secure bin when fitted. If you want to pay out more for another lock you can, but I think these will suffice, the locks do come with oil tubes to use after a few weeks/months. The paint on these should last reasonably well enough I guess, time will tell, they are out in all weathers so will be subject to corrosion. I believe I recall a mention someone had theirs forced upwards, if someone is that sad and desperate to put their rubbish in my bin they will, but I’m sure these will prevent most ignorant casual abusers, it is just a deterrent after all.

Robust and way easier to fit than I thought!
Probably like most people looking at bin locks I have extremely annoying neighbours who like to chuck all sorts into my recycling bins and I finally got fed up of getting red-tagged, so bought a couple of these badboys. My council are a bit possessive over their wheelie bins and get really funny about you drilling or screwing anything into the actual bins, so I went for these type instead. They fit on so easily it took me all of 10 seconds, I wasn't even sure I'd done it right at first as I'd expected a bit of a fight. Both my bins are slightly different and this works fine for both - essentially you put the notched bit over the lip on the bottom part, the horizontal bar pins the lid down, then you pincer them together and slip the padlock through at the highest hole. Thats literally it. You might want a slightly more robust padlock, but the combo ones they come with have held up okay in the rain for the last couple of weeks so I'll see how it goes.I'm im two minds on value for money, but to be honest there arent too many options for these without having to get the drill out and all that palava. So on balance for me, yes it was probably worth it for the convenience. Be mindful they charge the £3.99 postage per individual item, initially I went for two at the same time but that came up as £8 so ended up just picking them up one at a time.

Simple and effective
Excellent, it is a simple effective gadget that you apply in seconds. A tiny bit overpriced but it really works.

use a key padlock
The item did as was described, however, there were no included instructions on how to change the code on the padlock

Easy to fit
Just as it says ...locks the lid down ..no screws or drilling ...stops other people putting things inside.Worth £26 in my opinion .

This arrived NOT as described. It requires screws and bar which were not in package.
This is not as described. It says no screws or drilling. It does require screws and drilling and a metal strip (none of these provided). Waste of money and time.

Not Very Secure
I was not able to successfully fit this lock to our wheelie bin. Also it felt that if I did manage to get it in place then it would need to come fully off again to access the bin.I sent it back and managed to find a small padlock system for less than a quarter of the price which I can fit by drilling two holes in the wheelie bin.
