Faulkner Treasures
The Library of America volumes are the most sturdy, practical, and beautiful books as artifacts being produced. Truly these treasuries are treasures. All the deities of the American Literature pantheon are here, all in pretty much the most perfect and durable form they have ever been offered. Faulkner? Only the most amazing American author of the last century.

William Faulkner early works from Library of America
Each story in this collection is written with a great original style, and the writing is of high quality. The stories are varied, and there is a definate lack of fear on the part of the author in the writing.

Incredible Bargain
This Faulkner set comes in a fantastic clothback edition with dust jacket. There's little else in the text - no commentary, no criticism, no class notes. The stories are presented in their entirety. It's well worth the money for a true Faulkner fan.

Lovely Addition to Any Library
The quality of the contents goes without saying, of course. The book itself was a wonderful surprise. Beautifully bound and printed, it's been a real pleasure to just hold and enjoy.

An edition to treasure
A beautifully produced book, comprising four novels of William Faulkner. The Library of America editions are printed on very high quality paper and contain a built-in bookmark. A book to treasure. The book contains three of Faulkner’s great novels: As I Lay Dying, Sanctuary and Light in August; the fourth novel Pylon is less well known. Highly recommended!

Faulkner As He Was Not Taught To Me
Like many people i had "The Sound and the Fury" assigned in my freshman English literature survey course over 50 years ago. Again as with many other people, a major result of that course was a conviction that the works of William Faulkner were beyond me. I was then curious when going over the listings for TCM movies one night to see that the movie 'The Story of Temple Drake" was inspired by a Faulkner novel.I watched the movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. Out of curiosity, I researched it and discovered the novel on which it was based was 'Sanctuary" and that the movie was based on only part of it. I put the book in my Amazon shopping cart but was undecided about it given my freshman experience. I bought it almost by accident when I used Amazon to buy some novels for my wife. I was surprised to see "Sanctuary" in the order but decided to maintain the order out of curiosity.I am very glad that I maintained that order since I discovered a Faulkner that I did not know existed. I read "Sanctuary" and then in quick succession, I've read "As I Lay Dying", Light in August" and "Pylon". I now have an ambition of reading all of Faulkner's novels within a year and to end that year by attempting to read "The Sound and The Fury".

Great Book Editions
The Library of America Hardback edition books are great value: They normally contain a number of stories by the author; sometimes essays; and sometimes autobiographies. They have quality binding, with acid free paper, and offer work by a number of very important writers. Along with the Everyman's Library Classics Editions - they are my favourite book editions.
