Amazing stuff; taste is FINE! Cheaper than food!!!
There are some GREAT and thorough reviews on here, so I won't try to duplicate any of that. I think the taste is FINE; adding cinnamon and/or vanilla helps even more. My favorite is adding a heaping TB of unsweetened cocoa and two droppers of stevia. Just like a real chocolate shake.Looking at the ingredients you wouldn't guess that it's a magical concoction, but it's not your average meal replacement / protein drink. In my dieting travels I have figured out that trying to cut back on food quantity and type is very hard for me to maintain for long. Food makes me want more food and eating a ton of vegetables just doesn't satisfy anything. So, fasting with Almased is actually easier for me. Hunger, when you're on a liquid diet, just seems like a different kind of hunger. You KNOW there's no food coming so you drink more water or broth.Adding fiber to the shake is a good thing. I had noticed that Almased has almost no fiber, and I wondered about that. Fiber supplements are expensive, but fiber is important for feeling fuller and it helps with regularity on a restrictive diet.I use the 6 TB portion, which is a slightly rounded 1/3 cup measure (so much easier that way). So, I get four days out of a can -- only $7 a day. CHEAPER THAN THE COST OF FOOD! Good to keep in mind for those who said it's so expensive. If you get headaches, drink more fluids and enjoy that you're getting rid of toxins. It will pass.***Edit 10/8/15 -- I'm almost two months in now. I lost 10 pounds during the liquid fasting days (only did that for 10 days, not 14). Weight loss has definitely slowed since adding in one meal. Disappointing, but I've learned better how to do this long term. First, for my one meal I eat what I want. Moderation on fats and portions (except veggies) is still important. But if slow and steady wins the race, that's better than crapping out by suffering through a sprint that you can't maintain.#2 -- I make the vegetable broth as they recommend. It's not so tasty or satisfying. I tried adding about 25% V8 low sodium vegetable juice to my cup of broth and it made a huge difference. Tastes good -- almost like tomato soup. BIG find for me.#3 -- Again, this stuff is cheaper than food! So, why not stay on it for as long as possible? No reason to think you have to lose as much weight as possible in a couple of months because of cost. Other diet plans (Nutri..., Weightwatchers, Atkins and the like) ALL get expensive after a while because of paying THEM and buying (sometimes) specialty foods. I did low carb for a long time (any restrictive diet gets tiresome at some point) and I loved that I could eat all the bacon and eggs I wanted. But ultimately, I stopped losing weight. I have tried everything! THIS is working for me and I can see my way to long term results.

Almased Multi-Protein Powder
I think this product is really good, yes I have been drinking this for about two months. I normally make a shake in the morning and one at night. I do have fat free milk and Nesquick chocolate in mine. I don't feel that it adds that much in the way of calories. I have found my self feeling better and having more engery. I have recently added the liquid mineral and vitamines to my daily routine. I must say I am 53 years old and have not had a lot of engery, at least not what I used to have. I work and try to do other things at home, you know the norm. But I also want to write and draw & paint, and trying to find the time and engery for all of what I need---Well I have been feeling like myself again, and not just wanting to come home and plop down on the couch, work is stressful, as I think all of ours is. I would recommend this product.I find myself not thinking about food. What I do with my shake when I make it besides adding the above is I love to have crushed ice in it. I even take extra crushed ice along with me in my lunch box-cooler to add in during work while I try to make it last. I then add water to whats left with my ice. I notice its lunch time by then. I do eat cabbage/vegetable soup during my lunch. I have all vegetables not meat. I like it. I have noticed that I have stopped gaining weight, even losing a little.I feel that this is close to Weight Watchers with the milk and veggies, so that is 2 cups of fat free milk a day and all the veggies I feel like eating. I have protein with my one meal a day, if I feel like it. I find myself not really wanting the one meal a day anymore. But I will eat a little, because I think I should.I am on the slow is better idea, since I know it did't get on over night. I just want to lose around 10 to 20 pounds I guess. I am thankful for this product. Just one thing is the Almased that I order does not say diet on it. The one they show in the picture does.I have crohn's but since this product, no problems. But I do not take medicine for crohn's either. I do not have stomach pain like I used to have once in a while. I don't even have the acid reflux either. But I must say I have been drinking tea with coffee mate instead of my coffee, sugar and cream.
