I do NOT recommending this product.
If you are looking for simple easy to use testing, look elsewhere. This is not the simple easy to use product I thought it would be. And, they don’t take returns so don’t waste your money like I did. You have to cycle through each category to get the test results and some tests are combined with others in that you need to use the existing sample for several test. Not optimal and too complicated to get accurate results compared to other more economical test kits. I tried to make this easy for me by going with a digital read out but again, don’t bother with this one.

No reagents available
The unit is super easy to useHowever I do not recommendSo 1 star rating3 start on the others since if you could ever get reagents it works fineThe issue is you cannot get the ca hardness reagents ever since I purchased this in march 2023. We ran out in July and 9 months later still none. Also the DPD3 tablet is out of stock often. The company says they don’t k ow when it will be restockedThe distribution network says all of their products such as the spin unit has the same problem

Too complicated
This kit looked cool on paper but in reality it is WAY to complicated, time consuming and difficult to use. Each test uses a separate sheet of test pellets, most need to be crushed with a flimsy plastic tool supplied with the kit. The lids on the vials, of which there ate 6, leak when you shake them which you have to do many times. This is just too complicated and time consuming for me so I know I wouldn’t do it as often as needed.

Great tester - no refills
Can't easily find the refills so now I have a $200 tester that can't test.

where are the refills?
It works great until you run out of the reagents.

Poor Quality
I have had previous versions of the LaMotte test kits and enjoyed using them. However, the ColorQ 2x TesTabs Pro 7 kit (model 2087) is just horrible. The older kits used mostly liquid reagents that didn't require crushing. Just getting the tablet out of the foil pack is a chore. Once in the plastic vial, you're expected to crush the tablet with the blue plastic piece (like using softened spaghetti). The plastic vials have a tendency to crack making the test useless with fluid leaking out. All around deterioration of product quality. I'll rely on my local pool supply store for water chemistry tests until I can see if there is a better option for self-testing - it will not be a LaMotte !
