Mepro MX3 Magnifier with Tavor Adaptor

M3 on the IDF Tavor behind the M21 is absolutely awesome. At first I was a bit dissapointed. It was well made alright and it fit nicely behind the M21 on the built in mount..... but seemed to not magnify very much... After using it I understand why the IDF adopted it. It really works very well.. It magnifies just enough to give you that extra reach and magnification on a target. It installs and removes in the blink of an eye and the storage pouch is extremely well made. I am very happy with the M3. Also like the fact that there is eye relief adjustment. This is one very well made magnifier. Also feel that it makes my Tavor IDF complete... and as they say... Battle Proven!!! ;-)

This is a fine magnifier that seems at this time to be the only magnifier that will fit the Tavor IDF model bullpup, behing the Mepro 21. It would have been nice if it would flip out of out of the way, rather that manually removing it. Its not hard to take it off and there is a pouch on the belt to put it when not it use.It also would have been nice to put some sort of end caps on it, to keep dust off the lenses..

This version of the MX3 is only for the IDF Tavor. If you have the IDF Tavor, another option is to get the Gearhead IDF QD magnifier rail, which allows you to use a rail mounted optic. You can then use the rail MX3 or any other optic you might have (beware of height differences).The Good: The optic is high quality and turns your red dot equipped rifle into a medium range platform. It fits well into the proprietary mount, being easy to attach, but somewhat difficult to remove.The Bad: It does not come with lens caps, the travel pouch or the field cover. The manual says "Avoid unnecessary exposure to dust, moisture, and abrupt changes of temperature." Good luck without a cover!

Great Product

I purchased this sight from the Mako website. I ended up getting the wrong model from them which does not fit the Picatinny rail system on my Tavor. This one does NOT fit the Picatinny rail. The one I got from Mako fits the T.A.R. rail system (like in the picture) which is what they issue to the IDF troops in Israel for their Tavor rifles. I would say with a 99% certainty that unless you are ordering for an IDF Tavor model rifle, that this is not the sight you want. If you have an AR rifle with a picatinny rail then you do NOT want this model.Look at the sight's picture real carefully, if it does not make sense to you how it fits on your rifle then do not order this sight. Do more research and make sure you get the one that fits your rail style as there are at least TWO models of the Mako Mepro MX3 magnifier and even on their own website they do not make this very clear.
