HANDL New York HANDLstick Black Grip and Stand for Smartphone

This is my second Handl, and I love it! Just upgraded my iPhone to a 15, so wanted to get a new Handl to attach to my gel case. Here's my review with some tips: PACKAGING IS HORRID TO OPEN: I do have to start off this review by saying that the packaging that the Handl came in was horribly difficult to open, and there was some sort of sticky guide that I basically demolished when trying to open up the hermetically sealed cardboard without damaging the Handl itself.PLACEMENT of HANDL: So since I destroyed the placement guide while opening the packaging, when I went to put the Handl on my phone, I basically had to wing it to determine proper placement. (Basically, I placed the bottom edge of the Handl approx 1.5 CM from the bottom of my iPhone case, and then just pushed down really hard for about a minute.) USE / FUNCTION: The Handl really is secure against your hand once you slide your fingers beneath it, making it ideal for taking selfies without dropping the phone! I've now used it in numerous ways that I'd always been scared to do... i.e., hold your phone out over the water when on a boat to take a picture, with no fear of dropping it! Yay! I truly love my Handl and will recommend it to anyone! KICKSTAND: I've got to admit... this is initially hard to master, but once you figure it out, it's golden. To make your Handle stay in the kickstand position, you really have to pull the Handl bar out far, and then push it into (slightly below) its middle cross bar until you hear a click. Once you do that, the kickstand will stay in position, making your iPhone now easy to use for Zoom calls. Others have complained in reviews about this, but my guess is that they never secured it properly with a click.

This is super comfortable to hold. I apparently am on my phone too much as my fingers were getting sore - this is entirely more comfortable than a pop socket and when placed right makes a convenient little stand. Doesn’t add much weight. Would be a great stocking stuffer!

TL;DR: If wireless charging and a specific car holder isn't important, this is a great option!Pros: Comfortable and secure grip. Sticks to my case very well (so far). Pretty easy to install. Once you figure out how to lock it in place it works quite well as a stand in both vertical and horizontal.Cons: On my Galaxy S22 Ultra, with a case, I cannot get it to work with qi (wireless) charging. May not fit in some car mounts.As of the date I purchased this, the description read "will not interfere with wireless chargers". In response to customer feedback this has been updated to "compatible with most wireless chargers" (props to Handl's team for keeping it updated). That may be true, I'm not able to test that. I can say in my scenario (Galaxy S22 Ultra, case, Handl, high end Anker wireless charger) it does not work. In addition, with the Handl on my phone no longer fits in my car mount. For these reasons I will be returning it.This is too bad because I really like it for a lot of things. it's comfortable to use, feels solid in my hand like I won't drop it, and the stand works very well (with a slight learning curve figuring out where to lock it in place the first couple times). Instructions for setup are very good, and the template they send is very useful, even on large phones.As I said, if you don't care about wireless charging, and you have a car holder with a lot of flexibility, this is a great grip option.

Easy to apply and the thickness actually makes the phone easier to hold when not using the handl. I have very small hands so this is a plus.Huge downside, the elastic is not capable of holding in place when trying to display the phone vertically. The phone just falls on its back and when you pick it up the handl snaps back in place. I used the included alignment kit for good measure. Also bought the car vent which is a nice addition minus not being able to display the phone horizontally.

I like this a lot. I had an Oh Snap but it didn’t last long and wasn’t durable. This is very durable. Only thing that would make it better would be it being magnetic.

um this sucked. could be because i have small-ish hands but this squeezed my fingers so bad. i needed something to help me hold my phone up because i'm beginning to get a blister on my pinky from holding it 😭. this was not it, i am returning.

While I love how big this is, and how well it holds onto my fingers, the main reason I bought it was for the stand function. The tension is too strong on such a thin piece of plastic. It cracked within a week of use, then a couple days ago the whole piece you prop the bar into snapped off. I had it a month.Great idea, the materials used to manufacture them is insufficient.

I love this thing! Popsockets are prehistoric compared to this innovation, its an upgrade, but just go to there website they have more options.
