Worth the extra money!
I purchased this item over the cheaper version for two reasons. The fist and to me the most important feature is that once you are in the water and the weels are up they can be at an angle away from the boat and out of the way or the motor leaving you more room for tight turns. The second reason is its rigid structure and high quality of its built not to mention it only requires six hole in the transom and to me thats worth it the less holes in the transome the better your off. My only concern at time of purchase where the weeks look to be cheap plastic on the pictures but uppon arrival I am glad to report that is not the case they are good ruber andthe air valves are actually at an angle facing outward making inflation a breze unlike my friends cheaper weels belice me its not fun trying to inflate the cheaper weels. I am confident these weels will last me a a lifetime just keeping them piled after each season after all even aluminum rust eventually but not if taken preventions. Conclusion, yes they are more money, yes shipping is alot BUT if you have a good boat you dont want cheap weels that weels that might ruin your perfect day before it even beggins worth every penny because you wont have to replace them.

So Far So Good!
I got these for my Lowe 1240 Jon Boat (see pics). Some of the reasons I got these are: 1, Hand launch pretty much anywhere a canoe or kayak can launch; 2, Easy to move the boat around the garage and yard when doing work on it or storing; 3, Didn't need/want a trailer as I can put the boat in the back of my pickup which brings us back to reason #1, being able to hand launch. My Jon weighs approximately 110 lbs dry, add my Merc 6 HP and that adds about 60 lbs, so now you're looking at 170 plus whatever gear I add when I go fishing. I can move this around pretty easily loaded as is. With additional trolling motor, battery and anchors that will probably add another 70 to 100 lbs. I was very impressed with the fit and finish of the kit as I only had seen vids and pics on the web before I received them. Installation was very easy. It will vary depending on your boat and transom. My top holes/bolts were perfect length and I was able to use the included Acorn Nuts to secure on the inside, leaving a nice clean finish and no rough bolt and nut ends to catch skin or clothing. The bottom holes I went to the hardware store and got shorter bolts since the boat was much thinner there. I was then able to use the Acorn Nuts to do the same as the top holes. I used Loctite Marine PL in the holes and on the mounting brackets to keep things watertight. So far I'm happy with the installation. Most of my launch areas will be existing ramps that have decent access. Depending on how much I load the boat and the terrain I'm going over, there could be a few areas these could be hard to move in but if that happens you take a bit out of the boat and improvise. From some of the setups I've seen, mine looks to be just on the lighter side. Other boats I've seen using there have been bigger inflatables with 50hp outboards on the back launching on sandy/rocky beaches. I've also seen 14 and 16 foot Jons using these to hand launch. As long as your total weight doesn't go over the recommendation of the wheel kit, and you can lift it and move it, these can work for many types and sizes of boats. Also, I did call SeaMax with some questions before I made the purchase. They were very helpful and answered all my questions concerning installation and usage. Two HUGE Thumbs up for that!I hope this review has provided useful information in your decision making process. I will update if needed or if I run across anything else that may be useful.

The strongest wheels for rugged beaches
These wheels are very well made, with double the load carrying ability of most other dingy wheels. For really heavy boats or really soft beaches it's possible to double the wheels on each axle for extra support. The wheels every dingy pilot admires!

These wheels worked perfectly on my dinghy! They come with everything you need for installation, minus marine grade sealant. I was initially hesitant because of the price but once I unboxed and saw the quality of the product I knew I made the right decision. They’re easy to adjust and well designed. These are second to none and I highly recommended if you’re looking for an easy solution to launch your dinghy!

Absolute game changer for one person to move the boat when fully assembled.
I purchased these to install on a Zodiac MK2 boat and are a game changer for moving the boat around - especially with motor installed. The aluminum hardware is of very good quality and can easily be repositioned even with the boat in the water. Tires/wheels leave a bit to be desired but are lightweight & do the job & could be easily replaced if needed with wheels obtained at a local hardware store. I’ve elected to use a utility trailer to move the fully assembled/inflated boat (14ft, 330lbs w/ 25hp motor) to where I’m headed and simply roll out of the trailer. No boat ramp necessary.

Would be 5 stars easy if it had all the parts
These are super well made sturdy wheels! I put the bow of my dinghy in the back of our truck and tie it in with a rope and climbing clip and have gone 25mph around a few campgrounds now. The only problem is that they came missing a cotter pin. I looked and relooked and no pin and it is a beefy higrade stainless one. I called and explained and the customer service person said (in broken English) maybe I could find one locally. I replied that I just paid almost $250 for wheels and thought they should come with all the parts. Anyway I never got the cotter pin and complained again and finally went and ended up with something close from a local hardware store...

Very easy to utilize. If you have used any wheels that are not spring loaded and you have to take out pins to lift the wheels up and down…. Get rid of them and get these!Solid construction, used only 3 times so far on gravel beaches in AK. I’ll see how they hold up but so far very impressed and a lot easier than pin style wheels.Installation of was easy as well, and actually came with the hardware for the transom mount, which was a major plus over other brands.
