Great grass seed great customer service
I needed to kill off my original lawn because of creeping Charlie invasion! My original lawn was all of this grass seed and it was tough, and durable, I’ve had 65 foster dogs come through our house, and they really love real grass! Then the dreaded creeping Charlie came, and I didn’t use a defensive action before it took over, so I ordered another bag to get ready to replant. However, The first bag I ordered was apparently delivered to the wrong house, with a really bad photo taken by the UPS driver, that showed absolutely nothing that had any yellow in it, it actually looked like a car, but even then, you couldn’t tell.So I got in touch with David at the company, I told him how much trouble I’d been having with FedEx and UPS, asked him to send it USPS because we have an amazing letter carrier. The replacement was sent through USPS, and it arrived within 4 days of my communication with David!I’m so pleased, and ready to put down another round of seed to get my grass growing back for my foster dogs, and my own dogs!Living in the desert is tough to grow grass, but all the dogs love the real stuff, and the area isn’t huge, but with my foster dogs, the first thing they do when I take them out is roll around in the grass. They and my own dogs will be happy again.I can’t wait to get my yard back for all my furkids

Did not germinate.
Did not germinate. Tried this in one section of my yard got zero germination. At the same time in a different area I used some other seed form a Big Box story and it germinated and looks great. Same water schedule and condition so it wasn't environment it was the seed. Don't waste your money.

Beautiful fast results
Just amazingly beautiful results! I did soooo much research to find a quality product. My time and efforts paid off. Testaments are made by those who visit our home. They keep asking how I got this thick luxurious grass. I debate spilling the secret but in the end I share. These photos are not altered. Taken at around 7 CST

Better than Scotts and Pennington
Last fall, this HGT seed had noticeable growth within 2 weeks compared to minimal growth with Scotts and no growth with Pennington. However some areas showed no growth or it had some growth and died off.During the end of this spring, the HGT grass that was baby size last fall grew up nicely. Some of the grass blades did darken and did thicken somewhat into the summer but still has a thin look to it. Few spots the grass died out.Hopefully by next spring it will be more of a thicker blade. I keep the grass at 3 inches regularly and the HGT grass does have a tendency to look matted down under any minimal traffic. Now we are in the heat of summer, and with the help of some watering, the HGT grass is mostly doing fine and staying green. There was a few areas that died out. Its my old Scott's grass that has a little browning but is surviving. The Barenbrug grass does spread but not as well under shade conditions. The color of the grass I would liken it to fluorescent green. In the fall I will mix in a darker grass to make things blend better with my non-HGT grass.I did look up the NTEP results for some of the grass species mentioned on the grass bag. Barvette (included in HGT) did great under traffic but for drought and other measurements it was average to slightly below. Barserati (also included in HGT) was arguably the best among all KBG for drought, but average to slightly below for the other measurements. HGT grass bag included some other ingredients meant for with adding darkness to the lawn or help with growth in shade. However these other ingredients had nothing good to mention in NTEP results.Given the very expensive price, this was disappointing to find out as Barenbrug has some other grass seeds that are decent for growing in shade, with darker color, better in traffic, drought and disease but they were not included in this bag.

Brooooo
It works, I mixed this with some starter grass fertilizer and sprayed it’s over a large area. It has grown very beautifully! The soil I used lacked nutrients and I knew it might not take but it did anyway and I love the results! This post is about three months after purchase. It took a little bit to come in so I thought it wasn’t going to take but it is full and luscious green now in the dead heat of summer with no water because I don’t have a way of getting my hose back there. It has survived solely on limited rain.

So far it looks great!
Bought this a month ago, did some scarifying and then dethatching, and then put down humic, fertilizer, and this seed and got some nice results in 3 weeks.
