Subtle, earthy, and natural—not overpowering like some of those synthetic concoctions that make you smell like a nightclub bathroom.The texture? Smooth as butter, but without the greasy aftermath. My beard went from feeling like steel wool to something you’d want to run your fingers through—not that I let people do that (often). It tames the wildest whiskers, softens without compromise, and keeps the beard itch at bay.And let’s be clear: this stuff works just as hard as I do. I'm normally not one to rave about a grooming product, but I couldn't believe what a difference this balm made in my beard. It was almost like I'd gotten a facial hair transplant. This made the hair smooth, soft, shiny, and all flowing beautifully in one direction. Great for longer beards; I would say not to bother with this product if your beard is under 1" long.The scent is not overpowering. It's similar to black licorice (or the liquor Jagermeister, if you're familiar with it).The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it gave me zits in my beard. If you don't have acne-prone skin like me this may not be an issue for you.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My favorite beard balm. Not much scent to it which I appreciate. Gives great shine and moisture to the beard. Doesn’t cause a waxy buildup like some balms if you put it on for several days without washing it. Many balms do get that waxy buildup. Great price and value for the money. This container lasts quite a while because you don’t need much to work. If you get really oily then you probably put too much on.

This is my favorite beard treatment. Supports growth and soft hair. The scent is also very pleasant and doesn't leave greasy feeling on your hands. I recommend Honest Amish to everyone who asks about my 13 inch long beard.
