Purchased with skepticism, but very pleased with the outcome. Activating it is very easy and my wife now has it attached to her key chain. It's light in weight and not obtrusive. Inside, the piercing sound forces you to cover your ears and replace the key as quickly as possible - we are assuming this would be very effective in an indoor parking lot or building/mall. Tested outdoors without walls to bounce the sound, it was also noticeable and attracted head turns from nearby neighbors.

I purchased this for my mother who loves to go on walks (sometimes by herself), and you honestly just never know what she may encounter. Whether its a wild animal, or someone with horrible intensions, I feel confident that this will scare them away or at least alert others to look her way if she needs also. It also will not put my mom in harm like some other products (ex. pepper spray). This can be clipped on her bag or stored in her pocket, making it very easy to carry.

It came the next day, which was great. It's not as loud as I thought it would be.

This hangs on my lanyard which I wear when going for a walk. I like the fact that this is activated with a pin -- much easier if you feel you are in an emergency to just pull. An attacker could easily activate it as they are trying to attack; a couple of times I accidentally pulled the device off of the pin and the noise was deafening. Highly recommended for middle of the night use against that Karen neighbor.Here is a tip I learned: if ever you are attacked, yell "FIRE!!!!!!!"over and over. People can be reluctant to help if they sense danger from another person. But even little kids will come running to witness a fire.

I do not get paid to review. I bought this for my daughter and she immediately started using it! i also bought one for myself This particular brand is TSA approved! This can be used for saftey in a lot of situations. Originally bought for my daughter to take with her when walking in unfamiliar surroundings when traveling. She recently brought it to Ireland and Switzerland, and she told me it made her feel safer!When at home in USA, she clips on for jogging and general shopping. It can clip on a belt loop, purse, backpack..really anywhere. Besides TSA approved, it has a strobe light and very loud alarm. Simply pull apart if being threatened or attacked etc Hi,I have. For myself, I have quite a few falls, so now I carry with me when walking my property. I will be able to draw attention to my situation if I cannot get up. If dim lighting (at dusk) the strobe would also draw attention besides loud alarm! These are great Christmas stocking stuffers! These are pretty loud and should draw attention but not as loud as I anticipated. There's a small little opening that lets the sound out and if anything is over it, the sound is greatly diminished. Even uncovered, it's loud but I want ear piercing loud. They're easy enough and small enough to keep on a keyring so that's a plus. They are also easy to pull apart to make the alarm sound (without being so easy they'll accidentally go off). I'm kind of on the fence if I should keep these or keep searching.

Purchased for myself and granddaughters. Alarm is very light weight and fits in palm of hand. Tried alarm and WOW I jumped it was so loud. The pin portion snuggly fits into base so it won’t accidentally fall out; however easy to remove should alarm be needed. Comes with a clip to attach to purse, wristband or I bought lanyard to use when walking. Just adds a little peace of mind ~ I pray they are never needed.
