Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass Food Storage Containers, Set of 4 Food Containers with Lids (8 Pieces Total), BPA Free and Leak Proof

These were received as a self-gift, for our home use. We LOVE our friends, BUT grew tired of our friends returning our Tupperware STAINED. This happens every time when the gift contains tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, or other “stainable” food products. (We’re of Italian heritage.) We would always present the food gift saying, “Please, remember to re-heat this [food] in a separate container.” I’d venture that 80% of our friends took the “easy way out”, cooking the food in our plastic containers! When the plastic containers were returned, they were permanently stained and I tossed them! UGH!These glass storage containers with tight fitting snap-on lids, fit our frozen foods MUCH nicer, and the food lays flat (like chicken cacciatore). These containers are easily stackable, the glass is thick enough to be durable from freezer to oven, the snap-on lids keep air out, and the containers are refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave + oven SAFE! I can verify that the seal is tight! I dropped a a closed container of hot spaghetti sauce on it’s side and there was NO leakage! The clear glass provides a clear view the contents, even while frozen.Out of habit, we remove the plastic lids if the glass containers go directly into the microwave or oven for heating the food. For the microwave, we place a “microwave cover” on top. I don’t’t know if the plastic lids are microwave safe. (We’ve used a microwave cover for years, that keeps our microwave clean!) My family member uses these containers for carrying food to work, as well. He now prepares, packs + refrigerates several days worth of lunches in these glass containers. He’s commented that the food stays as fresh in the glass containers, as the food was on day 1! He previously was buying his lunches on a daily basis. These containers have saved a us a bundle of $!In fact, we’ve been SO HAPPY with this purchase of GLASS storage containers, that we were gifted the plastic storage containers (by another family member), of the identical brand, in various sizes*. To my shock, warm/hot spaghetti sauce has been poured multiple times into the plastic containers and the plastic containers DIDN’T stain, either!These are QUALITY products, by a QUALITY brand. I urge you to buy these. You’ll be 100% happy with your purchase!* As a Senior, my hands shake, my grip loosens + I drop a LOT of items: glasses, plates, silverware. etc. I can lift and carry with 1 hand only, as I must hold on to the counter, furniture, railings, etc., when I walk, due to neck and spine issues.

So far these have been a great choice. Easy to clean meal prep option that’s just the right size.Dishwasher safe and glass base reduces the chance of microplastics for my family. I’ve got several of these Brilliance glass containers in different sizes that I’ve collected through the last 7-8 years and I love them. They seal nice and tight and the lids have been good to date. They stack well when not in use too. Only thing I’d wish is that there was a lid-only purchase option as others have stated, since these are a little bit of an investment, but so far I’ve not needed any.

I have had these glass containers for several months and they are fantastic! They are very sturdy and heavy and the tops have a fabulous seal. The various sizes and shapes have proven to be the perfect combination for leftovers. I have successfully used these containers in the refrigerator, the microwave and the oven and have washed them repeatedly in the dishwasher and they look brand new. I have not had any problems with chipping or cracking as other reviewers have indicated, and I'm not particularly gentle. I highly recommend this product.

No more adding microplastics to my leftovers by heating up in plastic container's. These glass storage containers are just the right size for me and my leftovers.. There are 4 containers two different sizes.. Lids secure tightly although they are made of plastic.. just won't use them when reheating..

Overall, the durability of these is far greater than the plastic version of the same size. These do not break or crack like the plastic version. However, I have noticed that the lids have worn out much faster than in the plastic containers, especially the seals. So if you have a bunch of old lids hanging around from the plastic containers of the same size, save them before buying these.

Awesome product, good option especially if you’re looking to move away from plastic containers. The glass option is great for cooking, storing and reheating (without the top). There is a good variety of sizes, I was a little wary when I first saw them. But they fit everything from a small lasagna to leftover veggies. I use these daily. They stack easily in the fridge. Dishwasher safe is a plus, just be careful if washing by hand, the glass can be really slippery.

Much better than the plastic version that only lasts a year or so being microwaved and put in the dishwasher. The glass ones hold up and stand the test of time. I use these for meal prep and leftovers. The lids do tend to stick a little bit when they've been sitting in the cabinet but can be easily removed.
