Prefer this dryer v regular kind
It took me a long time to find this style of dryer stick and it works great. I used a Revlon before but they stopped making it. This Remington works better. I just wished the barrel was 1.5" or came with 2" options for faster drying. It works great, it smooths out frizz and leaves it shiny with the wave, curl or bounce you want.

Not suitable for fine/thin hair
The concept of this curling iron is desirable, however the clip is not tight enough to hold and curlfine/thin.

Use on slightly damp hair in smaller sections
If your hair is too wet, or even rather damp, this won't work. The benefit is that (in my experience) with a regular curling iron - hair needs to be DRY for it to work. With this hair can still be slightly damp. Definitely still need to blow dry first to get to slightly damp. It's basically a blow dryer that holds hair in the curl while it dries. It's not like those wet-to-dry flat irons where it cooks the hair.I found I had to work in smaller sections than I usually do with a traditional curling iron. Where I worked in smaller sections it's a better curl. At least on my hair, it doesn't make tight curls, more like waves, but it looks nice and gets the style I'm going for so that's fine.I don't know if this is actually a time saver because the time I saved not completely drying the hair I lost having to do small sections.I do think it's probably healthier for my hair because I'm not blowing out all the moisture and then frying it in a curling iron.I like that the barrel detaches from the base. I can leave the barrel on the counter to cool and toss the base in a drawer after only a couple minutes. This is handy for my storage.I wish it had a stand because I had to rest it in the edge of my sink between sections. It gets too hot to rest on the counter. A stand would've been nice.Overall, it works for my needs. Its not the miracle I was hoping for but it's still functional and better than fully drying then cutting my hair.

Hairstylist Approved
The media could not be loaded. Let me tell you this right here is a game changer in the beauty business. It took me under 20 mins to blowdry curl my asst mgr hair. The barrel really heats up with a strong airflow. The swivel cord makes it easy to maneuver the dryer and its lightweight. Curls come out soft and bouncy. I've told every customer I've used this on where to find one. No more burning up your hair doing wand curls. Im 24 plus years in the beauty business and Remington makes solid hair appliances. Worth every penny spent

Won’t curl my hair
This after 40-50 seconds on high and setting in with the cold shot. From damp hair. As the instructions say! I will be be returning. Doesn’t curl my hair at all. And as you can see it was a small section, thinking it would be faster to dry. Very frizzy and not curled hair was the result
