The arm is sturdy, clamps tight, and now I can see my dog's eyes!!!
I am not a groomer by any means but I own three small dogs who all require grooming but when I pull out the scissors and they run under the bed. I found this on sale and figured if I can at least get them so stay enough to cut so they can see, it wouldn't be bad waiting until warmer weather to go to the real groomers, it is worth the price I paid for it. I put this on my ironing board since it is taller, adjustable so I don't have to bend, and sturdy enough for my little furbabies. It works wonderful! The clamp is tight and it doesn't fall over. I just wish there was one more place to attach a loop a couple of inches in. (Keep the one that is there, this would be in addition to it.) The problem I had is really with the loops, not the arm. The arm is adjustable up and down but the attachment loops (I bought the no sit haunch holder) is two separate loops that don't adjust. They hang down at different levels but the levels aren't correct for my dogs body and I have yet to figure the loop that came with it. The problem I have is when I get the one for the head right, they are up in the air at the back end. I put the arm down so they can stand but the one at the head is doing nothing as it is too long. If there were two separate attachment points, it would allow me to use two different 'loops' that are adjusted at the loops for them independent of each other. (In other words, use the one it came with even if I tied it in a knot to get the right length to hold the head and use the other no sit holder on the next attachment point only using one of the loops to hold the hind end.. This way they won't get tangled being on the same attachment point). Don't get me wrong, this arm is great and it works.I am extremely satisfied with it. As I said, my problem is more with the loops than the arm, however an extra point in the arm would really solve the problem with the loops.

Perfect for grooming
This works well for our dogs and is exactly what we hoped it would be. We've groomed our dogs for 7 years and the previous clamp broke due to user error. This arm and clamp just fit our 1" thick table. Measurements in the instructions indicate it is 1 1/4". The arm is sturdy and we will have no problem with breakage.I've seen other reviews saying the arm is flimsy, but I disagree. However, we have three 50-pound show dogs and they don't try to jump off the table or fight us. None like their nails done, but this clamp and arm will hold them in place. I recommend this product, but be sure of the thickness of your table or the clamp won't fit. Easy to assemble and adjust.

Grooming station for the non professional.
Got this to help me groom my little 7 month old Havanese puppy. I will still take him in for professional grooming as needed, BUT, this set up works well to brush him and trim his nails as he was and is too squirrely for safety. And, it helps me keep the cost down as i am on a limited income. Two issues I have with this which I wish could be improved.--# 1 issue: The clamp does not open wide enough for my counter or table. I have to put the clamp on the cutting board ,which slides out of my counter, and then turn the post so that I can work with the puppy on the counter. It is not convenient but with a skid proof pad underneath puppy stands there perfectly for me to do his nails and brush him. The clamp and stand are strong enough and of good quality. I was worried about that but I am ok with it as my dog will not get huge.--# 2 issue: the cord for holding the puppy in place is worthless. It is difficult to get on my puppy. I purchased the "No-sit haunch holder dog grooming restraint" by Proguard, from amazon and it works perfectly. It is strong and well made, and I am able to adjust it for my 8# puppy. they come in different sizes as well.I had heard of dogs getting dropped at groomers and I wanted something safe as my counter is high.thank you.thank you.

no clamp, replaced and got clamp
Came without the clamp, it looks like a good product, except it isn't usable. What an easily avoidable problem, I'm upset I have to go through the process of getting this fixed especially when it's a Christmas gift so I need it in 10 days. I'll give a higher rating once I know how the product works.Edit- I received the replacement and now I can say it is a good product. The replacement process was stress free and fast, I got it on Christmas eve so my dad will have his Christmas present on time. I'm still taking a star off for the original nuisance.

Great Product!
Love this for grooming my doggies. I have 5 dogs so I am not going to pay grooming prices so I do it myself. The product attaches to my table and if it doesn't bolt down securely when you put the leash around the dog it holds it more sturdy on the table so don't worry. It's a great product for the money. I didn't want to buy the table because it looked cheaper than the lifetime tables you can buy at walmart and sam's club. I would buy one of the lifetime stables (last forever and you don't have to put it together) and buy this and attach it to it. Just in case anybody wonders yes it does attach to the lifetime tables. I bought the extra leash with the harness because my small dogs like to sit down when I'm grooming them the harness holds them up. I'm getting it all down so I am comfortable and so are my dogs when grooming them. Hope I helped someone decide.

Excellent grooming arm for a wiggly puppy
I have a Coton de Tulear pup. This is a small breed with hair so it must be groomed and combed out almost daily in order to keep knots at bay. My groomer recommended Master Equipment because it's worth the spend and is a reliable brand so I went with her recommendation. This was the only color available at a good price point, but color wasn't my deciding factor. I wanted Master Equipment and an adjustable grooming arm. The height is adjustable as my 8 month old pup isn't tall. The adjustable collar keeps him in place. Using treats to help him learn that grooming isn't a negative experience, this keeps him safely in place and allows me to get out knots while even using a safe scissor around his eyes to trim his eye brows so he can see. I have no complaints about this item and highly recommend it.
