Great pants
I love these pants. I have three pair and will get a fourth.Prows:1. I have tried a different brand that had all buttons and lets face it when you have to go in a hurry you will really appreciate the zipper fly on these pants.2. All the pockets are button down and after the holes are broke in they work easily. I found my size and they fit great. There is plenty of room for comfort. They don't don't ride up.Cons:1. The buttons can catch in things and pop off. This only happened once but as I don't sew it is a downer.2. No real place for a smart phone. Let me elaborate. I use one of the big leg pockets to carry my phone and it works but the big pocket lets the phone move around to much and bang on things. I work heavy construction and am always jumping in ditches or around equipment. If there were a vertical smart phone sized pocket in the larger pocket these pants would be perfect.Summery:I wear these pants every day because they fit great, look great, and hold up very well to work and beating the bushes while hunting. They come faded which takes the edge off the print. Once the lightest color starts to take on a dingy tinge, from use, they look a lot more like the Asian Theater BDU from Vietnam.

(mostly) Tough pants with good freedom of movement. Style...?
Good pants -- I wish they came in more sizes! If the WxL combinations available don't work for you, you're out of luck. Thankfully, these are roomier pants and come with built-in waist cinches, so they are more forgiving than typical pants and sizes.Had problems over the years with the fasteners -- button, zipper, and ankle ties.WAISTBAND & CINCHESThe waist cinches can pinch-hit as a belt, but they are best at just slightly modifying the waist size. I still recommend using a belt, as the waistband, although strong, does not have much body to it. Without a belt, it can wrinkle and bunch up.APPEARANCEIn the darker colors, these pants have a utility or "tactical" appearance, but can be worn casually, perhaps even as part of an intentional outfit. I worry that on the lighter colors, the seams of the unusual seat would be too visible for comfort in casual settings. Why? The seat of the pants is a separate piece of cloth that extends partway down the inner thighs, allowing for greater flexibility than on standard pants. The seam is visible from behind, though, forming an oval on the upper thighs and lower buttocks. (You can see it in the listing photos.) I have only once had someone comment on this feature.CARGO POCKETSThey're there. It's difficult to put things in or take them out without undoing the tightly-sewn buttons, which is inconvenient. The upside is that they are moderately secure pockets.CUFF TIESThe pant cuffs have ribbon ties of the same color sewn within them. They do not stay tied very well, and need to be retied every few days. They are useful, however, if you need to cinch the pants around your ankle or boots, or even lift the pant cuffs up to the knee for wading barefoot. **Make sure to tie ribbons before washing pants, or the washer may snag and destroy the tie or the cuff.** I believe this happened to one of my cuff ties. I chose to the cut the other off rather than have just one tie remaining.DURABILITYAfter several years of frequent wear, the pants show wear. The cuffs have started to wear out, the two layers of fabric splitting at the bottom. Perhaps the cuffs were dragging on the ground some of the time, or perhaps the cuff ties getting snagged did it; I don't know. The button came off, but anyone can resew a button (yes, you!). I believe the cargo pocket buttons are the same size, so even if you lose the main button, you should be able to match the color with a pocket button. The cargo pockets have double flaps, so the (missing) buttons are not visible. The zipper eventually broke (after years, note). That was a disappointment, and the reason I'm removing a star (-1 STAR): The zipper needs to be rock-solid on pants otherwise so rugged. While the zipper can be replaced, if you can't do it yourself it may not be worth the cost compared to new pants. Lo siento, Earth.Epilogue: My pants live on with a new zipper, due to the kindness of a friend.

Great Pair of Pants
We'll start with the only downside which is like many have already mentioned the pants do run on the big size and the size ranges are kinda funky. Trying to find your size can be tricky, but I found along with several of friends and family who've also purchased these pants is that you should go a size smaller than what you normally wear. In some cases maybe even two sizes. They have draw stings on the hips and you can wear a belt if need be.The positives far out weigh the slight inconvenience of trying to find you size. They are very durable and very comfortable. More pockets then you know what to do with. The color and fabric seem to be holding up very well to multiple washes, with little to no fading and almost no shrinkage. There is also plenty of room to throw a pair of thermals or even sweatpants underneath if need be.The biggest draw for me was the fact that I'm a big guy and it's almost impossible to find cargo style pants in larger sizes. I've tried Dickies, Carhartt and several others and they are great pants but they are tight in the thighs or are just not proportioned to fit larger guys. And don't have nearly as many pockets. These pants have plenty of room and pockets and meet my needs as a contractor beautifully. If you're a bigger guy looking for a great pair of pants for work or anytime. I highly recommend giving these a try. I own 3 pairs and will certainly will be buying more myself.
