Casper 25th Anniversary Edition (DVD & Blu-ray) [2020] [Region Free]

An excellent film from my past. It's a little bit dated now but my son enjoyed it just as much as I did when I was his age.Lots of bonus features. Well worth the money

A great family movie definitely recommended in HD on blu ray.

Casper has always been one of favourite childhood films. I remember going to watch it in the cinema in 1995 when I was four years old. 26 years later I still enjoy watching it. They don’t make films like this anymore. Worth purchasing for your watch collection.

A doctor researching ghosts moves into an old mansion to get rid of some ghosts for its greedy owner and meets Casper a ghost who just wants a friend. Based on the old Casper The Friendly Ghost cartoons and comic strips, this is a rather delightful and charming and amusing fantasy comedy. Good performances from the cast including Bill Pullman, Christina Ricci, Cathy Moriarty and Eric Idle with some fun cameos including Dan Aykroyd as his character from the Ghostbusters movies who refuses to go into Casper's house while Casper himself is a very likeable CGI character along with his 3 wisecracking Uncles. Yes Casper now has a dark origin story showing how he died but that I'm afraid is what a ghost is. The bluray set also comes with the originally straight to VHS sequels and some original Casper cartoons.

Great to have a golden oldie on bluesy. Good solid performances from actors. Glad to add it to my growing collection

Happy for buying

I brought this hoping that the 25th anniversary edition had something new. But unfortunately it didn't, had the same bonus features as the special edition. The blu-ray quality is nice and a big step up from DVD but thats all.The movie itself is a great classic, and highly recommended. This is a great way to get started with Casper, just a shame this edition didn't offer anything new. Just felt like a re-release but with a new title.
