Disappointed
Edit: ICE cold water makes it red and even body temperature can get it back to the yellow color.Does not change color. It came up in yellow color, my son was excited to see it getting red in warm water, but the color was the same even putting in the really hot water too. Waste of money

A neat little car
I purchased the Lightning McQueen "color changing" car as a gift for my bosses little boy for Christmas. The car is for ages 3+ and my bosses son is 2-3/4 years old. He loves the CARS movie, and Lightning is his favorite. I figured he'd love the car, and that the color will change in water (which I thought was cool too). It is the size of a Hot Wheels car, and was packaged very nicely upon receipt.I'm sure he will love playing with it.

Color Changing fun - in or out of the bathtub!
My 2 year old loves all cars but the color changing is a real treat. We put out 2 bowls, one with ice water and one warm. He moves the cars back and forth forever! And he also loves having a bowl of ice water sitting on the side of the tub for baths. These cars are fabulous!

Paying for the brand
My son absolutely loves it so that's where I see the value in, otherwise, it is a pretty expensive toy for such a small size and no extra functionality. You're paying for the brand. Our car came in yellow and couldn't figure out why the car wouldn't change color in cold water. Well, the product description doesn't say the color changes in ICED COLD water or freezer.

Favorite character now changes color
Our 5 year old has had fun experimenting with the color changes. He still enjoys water play and this adds an element of even more fun!

Cute! But won't last long, particular kids beware
Dropping the stars down. I'm back about a month later buying the beloved color changing Lightning McQueen again because the first one broke. With regular, indoor, dunking in water and carrying it everywhere use. Lightning was not moonlighting as a stunt driver. I don't think he ever even made it on a proper track. Just leisurely rides on the floor. No idea how a 4 year old had the strength for this, but here we be.I wouldn't buy again if not for the kid.*****original review below*****Really cute, and bonus for being a color changer for the kids that are way into that! Not thought out well, though, for kids who can be a bit... particular about their toys. Car is only red in cold water. As your hands warm the car up, you start seeing bits of yellow. My kid was okay with this, redunking it in cold water to get back to red. However, I'm not sure how long the car will hold up. Unlike most color changer cars I've run into, this one has stickers for all the details. (On brand for McQueen, for sure... but not good for the toy lol) I'm sure they'll start bubbling and peeling sooner than kid will be done with the toy and I'll have a small meltdown on my hands.Already looking for a replacement.
