Renogy 12V 20A AC-to-DC Portable Battery Charger Plug-and-Play with 12AWG Alligator Clips for Lithium-iron Phosphate Batteries

Easy to use. Works great!!Have a 200 amp Renogy battery and two 100 watt solar panels. Have had three instances that when I hooked up to 30 amp post, I forgot to turn the post on because I have solar and a big battery and I had power already. My battery discharged big time by the next day because of the fridge. I just plugged in my charger and hooked up to my battery and all is well soon.Also use the charger at home after I pull the battery in the winter.

Bought this to replace a cheaper off-brand 20a AC-DC lifepo4 charger with a similar charge curve to run off my AC outlet on my portable generator. It even had a built in fan... But gave out after a month of regular usage and didn't have an inline fuse so the board burnt out. Had short circuit protecton too. The main thing that caught my eye with this charger is the inline fuse, which should prevent anything but the fuse getting fried. I like the addition of the protective insulation around the output cord for the aligagor clips as well. Solid build.

I bought this charger to provide charging from shore power on the rare occasion that my solar setup can't quite keep up with demand, and runs my battery down more than I would like (3 days of rain scenario). I have one highly regarded 100Ah LiFePO4 battery and this Renogy charger got so hot on its first use that it was clearly a hazard. Renogy can't tell me how hot is too hot, but when the bottom of the case went over 165F it became an issue of concern. This charger should not be left unattended while charging! Better still, buy a different charger. Others have had the same experience with this one. Renogy does not stand behind their product and their tech service was not helpful. They could not tell me how hot is too hot. They finally suggested that it might be defective, but ha-ha it's out of warranty after sitting for a year during Covid. I don't recommend buying this charger, but If you are somehow compelled to buy one, it would be a good idea to have a fan blowing over it as it charges.

Pretty good value. Device doesn't require a fan. Pulled 300 watts from the wall. Specs state it's 92% efficient. Which would make it the advertised 20 amps. This is the only listed (etl) device I found at this price point.The light is red when it's charging and green when it's done.This thing puts out a lot of power its probably a little bigger than old xbox360 power brick if you remember those things.

i use this to charge a 4x ECO-WORTHY 12v 20AH (12v - 80AH total) battery bank i built for amature radio use. this works great! charges quickly and delivers all the power i could need. I did have to cut the aligator plugs and attach my own connectors so it would "plug into" the batteries, but otherwise was perfect.

Ordered this charger which worked great the first time. After that the power did nothing come on. They sent us another charger which is working great. Hopefully will work for a long time.

Our Battleborn lithium batteries were completely dead and in about 12hrs we were back up to 100%. I like that you can use the batteries while they're being charged. 10/10 recommend. We bought an adapter so we can use this at campgrounds that have rv hookups (we have a campervan without shore power).

There are two kinds of DC power users in this world. Those who accidentally make a reversed polarity connection, and those who will make a reversed polarity connection.After 17 months of using this charger, I finally screwed up and in my haste I connected to the battery backwards. Just for a fraction of of second mind you, but that was all it took. A few big sparks and the charger was dead. No problem, I thought. The Amazon description, the online manual, and Renogy's website all said it has reverse polarity protection. Surely there was a fuse or a reset button that would bring my dead unit back to life.Nope. The housing is completely sealed. The two halves look like they are glued together. There are no disassembly screws. There are no buttons. There are no external fuses. Except for the wires and the single LED indicator light, this thing is like the monolith in 2001 A Space Odyssey.Given the above I feel that Renogy's claim, in at least 3 places, that this thing has reverse polarity protection is false. It worked fine for 17 months until the one moment that I connected it backwards.Now the good news. I called Renogy customer service and they emailed me a free shipping label to return the unit for testing. I had a replacement in less than a week. For free. But the replacement unit is exactly the same as the original, except it actually features a Renogy label. I had seen pictures online of this unit with an inline fuse on the positive DC side and I was hoping my new one would have such a fuse, but no. So now I run the risk of killing it by connectig it backward again.I would expect more from a $130 charger. It's going to be Victron next time.
