Great remote, simple and fast to setup
It took me a grand total of 20 seconds to setup my Sony tv. The very first code worked immediately. The bright blue backlight is sweet. It controls my 2024 Sony tv flawlessly. Even more amazing is the price-under $8!It doesn’t bother me that there are no presets such as Netflix, etc but if I’m too lazy, I use the original tv remote for that. But I find today’s smart tv remotes too small, and in a low lit room at night I’m always pressing the wrong buttons. It’s much brighter than the backlight Roku remote I had, but that remote separately is $30!Its one of the best purchases I’ve made.

Worked for All my Devices
This remote worked perfectly for my home system. It was exactly what I needed. Now I can control my TV, Blu-ray player, and Amplifier with one remote. So when I'm watching a Blu-ray movie I don't need to swap remotes to get it setup or pause or adjust receiver volume.Remote works well, although I did have to go through a lot of codes before I found the right ones for Samsung Blu-ray player and Yamaha receiver. But, once set up it works perfectly. It did work immediately as advertised for my Samsung TV.The only thing I can't control is my Roku because it is a Roku streaming stick which uses an RF signal not infrared, but I don't care though because I didn't get it for that. I mainly got this for an easy operating experience when using my Blu-ray player because my old universal remote didn't have codes for Blu-ray players. Also a great price for a nice looking remote. It looks like something you'd get with a Samsung TV with a brushed metal look to it.

GE (Rok) u need this
If you want to get a backlit remote for your Roku device, this is the remote to do that with. BUT only the Infrared NOT the RFID.Like many, I was surprised that the Roku remote isn't backlit & more so, that they don't make any. Kind of weird in 2022 isn't it? So I looked around for a remote that would be. What I found is this.If you have one of the sticks, you can't find a remote that will work. You need to go to an IR Roku device. One that is infrared. Just how it is. You'll probably get a great discount from Roku on them because you already own one. I wanted to have the better cable & better wifi device, so got an IR one cheap.Setup was too easy. Batteries in (I used some rechargeable). I did program the Roku unit with it's remote in case something went wrong. Nothing did. They suggest using code entry, & I used the first code in the book for the Roku device, & the first four digit code for my TV.I set up the Roku as CBL, because I'll eventually cut the cord. I covered the cable box with a towel just in case. That was it. All I need do is press TV, then power, then CBL & I can control the Roku device.Voice. If you have a Roku stick, you know the voice only works on the Roku screen, so it isn't all that helpful. This remote doesn't have one. If you want that, get one which does have a microphone feature. If I find I can't live with out it, I'll put a review on that.Right now. This is working fine. I still reach for the side to hit mute, but I'll get out of that, soon enough. All of the Roku buttons work. The OK 4 arrow "D-Pad" works fine, the return & back button, the asterisk works as it should. GE programmed the code to work for everything.I will say that the numbers are a waste for the Roku, because once you hit the #1, you go right to Netflix. I haven't played with the A,B,C, or D lettering as yet, but I think it depends if the Roku device itself uses special keys, some do.Also a downfall is that that lighting doesn't stay on very long. So you need to "find" a key that none of your devices use in order to light it up. Sometimes volume is the easiest to find by feel & doesn't affect everything as much as the OK button does.

A great remote if you find the right code
I bought this for my father, after he had issues seeing the buttons on his old remote. He is vision-impaired, so I thought the backlit buttons would be useful. They're bright enough that he can see the buttons and I picked a remote color that makes it much easier to find if misplaced. Using the remote is fairly simple once we had the right code. Even though it can auto code search, I recommend trying the codes yourself. The remote worked with our tv, but some of the buttons didn't function correctly (mute selected language, ok was for password, home nor menu worked). I decided to manually put in the code and now everything works as it should.

Works as described
Worked right out of the box on my Samsung TV. Backlit & easy to read/see. Also very easy to program. It works on my Zvox soundbar & Blu-Ray player. Excellent value for the price.
