GREAT FOR DEMENTIA, my Mom & I play this& she's so happy when she WINS! IT'S GREAT!!!
GREAT FOR DEMENTIA, my Mom & I play this& she's so happy when she WINS! IT'S GREAT!!! I deal us each 5 cards & deal out 5 cards on the table for "the river" & object is to snatch up each type/color/frosting/sprinkles etc pop tart that u have a match in your hand for! It's fun& evokes laughter when u reach for the same card :-). My Sweet lil Mom celebrates with clapping hands& big smiles when she's got the most pairs on her side of the table. Hint: playing familiar music your dementia family member loves is a KEY to them Brightening Up! I've got a YouTube list just 4her! U can even find videos that have the words at the bottom of the screen, but u will be surprised how well your loved one sings along without seeing the words! The heart has a memory too & it far outlasts our minds recollection ya know.To all the care givers, it's sometimes a thankless job, but please carry this in your heart: u are so important and your deeds are not in vain, your loved one appreciates every act of kindness though they may not be able to put it into words. If YOU feel good ab each visit as u drive home, then YOU have done right by them! Just your company, your listening ear, your hand to hold is what they need most. Caregivers, fight growing weary, YOU CAN DO THIS! & when u just can't 1 day, can upon a friend.... let them help. Our friends feel helpless, but boy do they rise to the occasion & SHINE when we finally Let Them In to our Caregiver World. :-) stay strong 💪❤❣-SCY

Easy Fun Game
I bought this for my 10 (almost 11) year old son. The game says it is for ages 13 and up, but my son had no issues with learning the rules. The games is easy to learn and takes no time to play. There is some strategy to the game and it is not all based on luck. The cards are durable and the packaging is very pop tart like :). The concept is simple, you are collecting pop tarts with point values and if you collect a certain set, you get a bonus card with more points.

Surprisingly fun
I bought this for my 8yo son and he was able to catch on quickly. It's fun for kids and adults! There is some strategy to win, or to prevent another player from winning. When reading the directions, it seems like a lot to understand, but everyone understood after the first turn or two. The cards are durable and the game is a good price.

Perfect after breakfast game!
Finally got this game to the *breakfast* table this weekend! My sons and I had a blast claiming Pop Tarts and making combos. It's easy to understand - simple card play that even my 6 and 10 year olds could handle.Plus the inside of the box is silver like a Pop Tart bag! Great gift!

Clever packaging, not a lot of fun
The packaging is clever: it looks just like a PopTarts (tm) box, though the contents are simply a deck of cards, padded with cardboard filler. I discovered a new way to fix the delicious pastries, namely in the freezer, though to be frank, frozen PopTarts (tm) aren't really an improvement over toasted or microwaved. Anyhow, we tried the game and while it might be interesting for a boring rainy afternoon, it wasn't really a lot of fun. The rules are very complicated, it took about half an hour studying the ten pages of instructions before playing. The cards don't have the "feel" of actual playing cards: it's quite difficult to shuffle them. The game involves matching different flavors of PopTarts (tm) by sight, since they aren't given names (except, for some reason, in the instructions), and some of these flavors aren't ones available in our local grocery. The rules sometimes seemed to be complicated just for the sake of being complicated, and there was no indication of possible strategies. After half an hour, we quit in frustration and got out the Monopoly (tm) set.

Great fun & easy to learn/teach
This was a gift for our 7 year old son. He was quite excited to get a pop tart themed game. The game is designed well from the packaging all the way down to the play. It is quick and easy to learn or teach. We have actually played a few rounds on our own when the kiddos went to bed.
