Q: Are these candles red on the outside and white inside or is it solid red?

I only saw the first answer and only bought these as I wanted solid red. These are red coating and not vibrant red, more a pale red, pinky red and absolutely not red all the way through. If you want vaguely red candles but good candles nonetheless these are fine. If you want vibrant solid red colour candles look elsewhere!

Q: Does the wax drip down the side of the candle?

Completely buckled and rippled down the side of each candle. Caused a total mess and ruined top of my unit.

Q: what is the diameter of each candle at the base? i.e. where it fits into the holder.

They're tapered at the base, they fit into my standard candle stick holder, 20mm at their narrowest.

Q: are these definately 2cm width as when i bought candles elsewhere it said 2cm but they were only 1.5 too small

These candles are definitely 2 cm wide. I have just measured them. Great looking candles too in my candelabra.
