Bought this for my 92 year old dad. He still lives independently although he has to walk with a walker. He's at that point where he really can't make it to the bathroom as quickly as he used to. Sometimes he has to "go" and tries to get there without his walker.... and he falls. He's called me a few times to come over to help him off the floor.... which is not fun for me ... especially at 1am. ~ This is a great product for men. At nighttime he doesn't even have to get out of bed to try to get to the bathroom. He's been using it for about a week and he is very happy with it. Seems to be doing the job well, he's had no accidents. He thinks everyone should have one so they don't have to get up in the middle of the night to "go". He thinks I need one, and I've explained to him that it's made for men, not women AND that I have no mobility issues. But he still thinks I should have something like this (which I don't). So it must be a really good product. The "collector" is just under his bed. It has a long hose which hooks on to his bed frame. He has no problems reaching this to "do his business". Works well, get one for the senior man in your life.

My husband cannot get to the bathroom at night due to mobility issues. The small urinals have rough edges and only hold a limited amount of urine. This urine bottle has a cup with a smooth edge connected by a hose to the large bottle. There is a handle on the cup that we use to connect urinal to his bed rail. It is also handy to take on trips.

My bedridden relative really likes this model, and I have two for switch out every other day. HOWEVER, if your patient has a strong stream, buy the model with a larger cup to avoid over flow. Another downside is that the hoses tend to crack after a few months, so you want to either stock up on replacement hoses (now available at Amazon) or find hoses that will fit at a hardware store. You can also reinforce the hoses where they bend the most with rubberized or duct tape. This gives the hoses a longer life, but they will still develop leaks in unreinforced areas.

So basically delivery day picked up the package. It came in a Amazon box not the manufacturer box and basically it had no dents on the cardboard box so good chances are they grabbed this urinal and some sort of heavy bin and this is probably one of the damaged ones that they sent they had something heavy sitting on top of this in the warehouse probably through Amazon‘s conveyor system where this something else must’ve sent on top of this there’s like three dents in areas where I tried to put a stick inside to pop them out the dent, and they’re in the creased areas where the chances are then I could come outIt basically took the integrity of the structure of the urinal away from how long it could possibly last structurally. Once you get any dents into the corners and crested areas it becomes more of a problem sooner or later.Definitely the hose and the urinal blue tip definitely feels cheap very much. Likely you would have to get chance are replace the hose sooner or later. Not sure where you get that thing or it’s probably not even worth the money to replace it but the company better have a good warranty for this because I’m not sitting here paying for something that used to use for less than a year with low quality workmanship of a product.

In have 2 of the blue urinals, they are good but this one is way better. The hose is shorter but more sturdy and the connections are better. The semi-clear container allows you to see when empty. The Blue ones don't. I wish the hose was a little longer but it works OK.

I like the idea (as a man) being able to roll to my side and eliminate. This mostly accomplishes that with some real drawbacks.Pros-Design is easy to use when sleepyCons-The piping is corrogation traps moisture in the ridges and keeps inside of the cap moist.-The cap sits on the outside with no inside barrier. Whenever you uncap, the rim of the entrance is wet and drips.-The cap can't be used with the female adapter.-Theres a purpose created pin hole in the tank's cap. This means the tank isn't water tight.-The tank cap drips loosening to empty.Overall, the idea is great but there's always a mess when using and emptying.
