Nexxus Emergencée Treatment, for Damaged Hair 2.68 oz

My hair is 3a, 3B, high porosity, natural curly, thick, and very protein sensitive BUT...This stuff, along with the Emergencee shampoo and conditioner being used weekly, are helping my bleached damaged hair soooooo much.After the 1st use, the shedding and breakage of my hair came almost to a complete stop. My hair is rather thick, (lol a lot thinner now from all the breakage, and shedding that occurred before I started using this though). My hair extends to about the middle of my back, and has long layers. I ended up only needing to use 1/2 a tube each time I did a treatment because all my hair was completely covered with the product, and IMO a full tube on my hair would have been way too much, and I would have just been wasting the rest of the product. So I actually got 2 uses from each tube which doubled my treatments, and saved myself some money in the process by doing that. NOTE it will get really hard on your hair very quickly, so lol do NOT try to comb it through like I did the 1st time.My hair is looking and feeling so much healthier, and so much better since I started using the Emergencee line of products. Even once my hair is back to its ole self, I plan to continue to use this product (perhaps not weekly, but it will remain in my hair care rotation), in order to help keep it healthy, and keep the proper amount of protein in it.But please be aware that this is a relatively heavy protein treatment, so it Will most likely make your hair feel very dry-(as will all protein treatments), I always make sure to do a good deep conditioning treatment with a product that does NOT contain protein afterwards in order to counteract the effects of the protein, and the dryness it leaves behind.Afterwards, I am personally using Matrix Biolage Hydrosource conditioning Balm for co washing, or after shampoo conditioning, but I also do about a 50:50 ratio of the Matrix Biolage Hydrosource conditioning balm-(This is great all by itself too), along with Matrix Biolage Hydrosource Mask, together as my deep moisturizing non protein deep treatment, immediately after the protein treatment has been done, and I also do a deep treatment as needed for dryness-(usually weekly). I always use a heated gel cap for the deep moisturizing/hydrating treatments. I leave my Matrix moisture treatment on under a cheap plastic cap, cover that with my heated gel pack, and then secure a towel over top of them for 20-30 mins, then rinse it out in cold or cool water, leaving in approx. 5-10% of the conditioner when rinsing, then if needed still, I either use a small amount about a dime size of the Matrix Balm, or another leave in conditioner, mixed with a little water in the palm of my hand, run that lightly throughout my hair, and seal in all in with either a small amount (again about a dime size) of oil, or styling gel. If your hair looks greasy afterwards, it is because you have left in too much of the conditioner and need to rinse it again. A little conditioner being left in your hair goes a long way. All I've got left to say is that my hair has never looked or felt better, Ever.

This product does exactly what it says it does but you have to follow the directions exactly like your supposed to or it wont give you the benefits youre looking for. First, shampoo with a cleansing shampoo before use to remove all buildup in your hair. I use Neutrogena shampoo since it removes 90% of all residue. Secondly, I only used 1/2 half of the tube since I have short hair and left it on for the suggested time of 5 min. Use the whole tube if you have long hair and work it through to the ends. There is no need to put on a cap and sit under a dryer or any of the other silly suggestions that others have said. The heat from your shower is enough to make it work. Rinse it out and shampoo again. Dont leave it in as some suggested. Follow with a deep condition and rinse. Your hair will be silky, strong and manageable. I color treat my hair blonde every 8 weeks and my hair was damaged and thin but now it is stronger, shiny and so much healthier. I use this product every week.

I’m super confused on how there are so many positive reviews. I’m bummed that I believed them because this product made my hair fall out, feel stripped and super dry. I barely could brush through it in the shower. I had to put a deep conditioner on top of it so I could comb through the tangled mess from this product. Basic conditioner from the drugstore works better than this. Don’t be fooled. I really wanted to like this. :( Oh and the product is way past the expiration date of 2012.

Great product. I've used it several times and it makes my hair so soft!

When I first purchased this product one year ago it was $15.00. I have since made another purchase at $25.00. It then went up to $35.00 and is now selling at $100.00!It was an okay product and worth the initial price. When it crossed $30.00, I simply stopped buying. It isn't liquid gold.

This stuff is like gold! It’s protein qualities are amazing. Only leave it on your hair for no more than 10 min. If you apply it, wear a cap and sit under heat, you will max the benefits. Awesome for damaged ends!!

Not worth the money, did not make my hair soft or easy to comb through.

This is one of my "holy grail" products. Can't live without it. I use it once a week in the shower. I smooth it through my strands, then make a loose bun and keep a shower cap on so that this stuff can work its magic while I shave, etc. I take the cap off and wash product off in 5-10 minutes. It has greatly improved the health and texture of my hair and I would say I saw results even after one use. Amazing weekly treatment.
