Gigaset C610A-L410 Cordless Phone and Hands-Free Clip

10/28 important update - if you ever get a 'connection lost' message when you try to call or try to answer a call, it means the base needs to be reset. All it takes is unplugging the base for a bit - I left it 30 minutes but it probably doesn't take that long - then it started working perfect again. Best phone ever!!!I can't believe ATT or other phone makers haven't even tried to match Siemens for reducing dangerous EMFs in every US household being bombarded from every angle. Everything just gets stronger year by year instead of being concerned about our health. On ECO mode there's no radiation when it's not being used, and reduced by 80% when you are talking on it. The battery holds a charge a surprisingly long time, and recharges in an amazingly short time. I'm used to my old ATT taking 8 hours, I believe mine fully recharged in about 1 hour?? The initial charge is a long process - you have to let it charge 10 hours, then fully discharge before putting it back on the charging base. But from then on it re-charges really quick. It's rather difficult to get set up for anybody tech-challenged like I am with way too many options, it's capable of doing probably 90% more than I've learned so far LOL as long as I can call/answer/see who's calling, I'm good. My main goal was to get rid of the radiation from my old ATT cordless set, and hopefully with a white set, this fills both needs. The extreme quality you can see and feel are a big bonus. Very clear voices on both ends, no static. I bought an extra handset to keep in another room (you can add up to 6), and the little included 410 speaker works like a charm. I keep it by the recliner so if I'm resting I can just answer a call right there. This is after one week of use, if anything goes wrong I'll be sure and update this but I'm not expecting it to happen :=)

Very happy with the phone, it's interface, features, battery life, call quality. I just wish it was black and not white. I bought two additional handsets (Gigaset C610H) in black. I think it looks far better in black and shows dirt far less.Keep in mind doesn't employ the full fledged ECO mode that is available on European version, but it still reduces power usage and therefore exposure to radiation by a significant degree.The L410 portable clip is a nice add on that I use frequently for longer calls.

The back lighting is really wonderful as well as the clean sound quality. I needed to replace my old Gigaset for many years which is proof of their reliability.

We bought this phone on Amazon after doing much research about low-radiation cordless phones. We wanted to replace our old wall-hung AT&T cordless phone. After opening the package I realized that this phone does not hang on a standard US wall mount phone bracket. It does not have the matching wall mount brackets. It says you have to put two screws in the wall and mount the phone on those screws. This would look very ugly if you have standard US wall mount plate. We returned the phone. I am sure you can use the phone on a desk just fine. I don't have any opinions on the operation of the phone as we never put it to use. Wanted to make everyone aware of the mounting incompatibility though.

Not crazy about this phone. I feel good about the Eco-dect and the battery life is good. The speaker clip is certainly handy, but the sound coming from the speaker is harsh, and either too loud or too soft. The handset sound is nothing special. It is like other phones. The range is OK. What I really dislike is when I dial a number: there is a delay between the handset sound when you push down a number, and an electronic sound which comes afterwards. Why have two sounds in the first place, and why should there be a delay between them? The answering function is correct -- nothing special. But in general, I don't like using it at all. I think I fell for the German engineering hype.

This product is positioned as a low emf emitting wireless phone alternative. It is a lovely phone, but it emits more energy than my older Dect phone and does not by any means shut down when the handset is in the cradle.

It is a great phone, but the best feature is the handsfree device L410. I have a little one and the L410 gives me the possibility to speak and still be able to cook, change diapers or do yard work. I simply clip it to the top of my shirt and can answer and finish every call with the push of a button, while being able to keep on doing what I just did. The reception and distance to the base of this phone is also way better than previous phones I had here in the US.
