How can you go wrong with a book from Tan?You want to live a life of heroic virtue? This is the book for you. I would have liked it better in modern English. I bought a more recent translation.

If you were Catholic, you would like this book. She is an amazing author. I now understand why she gets one of the doctors of the church.

I started reading this book because it was referenced by Carl Jung. It gave me a different viewpoint of saints. I would recommend it to religious and secular readers. It is a unique work.

A very good classic.

I have read the book written by St Teresa of Avila before. It was a different translation and a different publisher. however, this translation in this book is very good. I needed a newer book because my old one (inherited from a family member) fell apart. I am very pleased with the good condition of the book I purchased here as well as the prompt receipt of the book to my home. As always the TAN books of the masterpieces are reliably good.

Your journey in spiritual knowledge needs a guide. I have read this book 3 times. I lent it and never got it back.It should be read slowly. Highlight it and and put it down after each chapter. I’m keeping this one.

This book helps anyone wanting to grow in their own spiritual life - at the very least, it acutely increases one’s awareness of the graces available to those who love God.
