Toyota Genuine Parts 90975-02228 Blue "L" Lexus Rear Hatch Emblem

Perfect fit and looks incredible on the back of my Lexus CT200h. The old emblem was starting to melt on the inside and looked awful, so I ordered this replacement. Removing the old emblem wasn't too bad, you need to use heat and a strong thin wire to break the old adhesive. Watch some YouTube videos for pointers. Make sure you remove as much of the old adhesive as possible with goo gone until you see the original paint. Install was easy. Great product, and exactly what I needed!

This Lexus ‘badge’ is for the rear lift gate of my 2013 RX 450h. I specified 2013 when it was ordered but I now realize it was not made to properly fit that model year. Incidentally, there were no installation instructions. I had to remove two small plastic nipples on the badge as there were no corresponding holes for them on the lift gate. But the greater problem was the badge was not manufactured to touch the entire surface of the lift gate badge location. The badge ‘rocked’ when affixed so there was either a gap at the top or bottom rather than securely attaching to the surface. The adhesive backing of the badge was disturbed as I tried to remedy the problem. In addition to no holes to receive the nipples, there was a raised plastic ‘L’ in the shape of the Lexus logo on the lift gate underneath the badge. This was removed, reluctantly, with a dremel tool and now the badge touches the entire surface without rocking. It remains to be seen whether the badge will actually stick to the lift gate over time. I would have returned the product but the adhesive is so disturbed from the process that I don’t expect a return is possible. Very disappointing considering the cost and I can’t recommend this product.

This came in good condition as was as advertised with adhesive backing. No issues with placing. Fit well.
