Pearlina Turtle Necklace Cultured Pearl in Oyster Set Silver tone Plated Cage W/Stainless Steel Chain 18"

I bought three Wish Pearl necklaces. Two were given as gifts to my daughter's teachers (one with a turtle cage and one with a rose cage) and a dolphin one was waiting for my daughter under the Christmas tree. They are GORGEOUS. The teachers loved them. I bought the kissing dolphin necklace for my daughter. My daughter is 11 years old. This makes a wonderful gift. She absolutely loves it. The pearl is beautiful and the cage holds the pearl securely. She had so much fun making her wish and opening it. :)Two things to warn you about (minor things): 1. There is a smell to the water (of course, you probably figured that since you are opening an actual oyster) and it is packed in water; and, 2. The little plastic tool they give you to help you pry open the oyster broke. No biggie, we just got a butter knife from the kitchen and used that. ;)For the price, the presentation of the box is GREAT and it comes with a little booklet explaining the legend behind it with a color chart so you can determine what the color of the pearl you receive means (according to the legend). This is a really fun gift to give and to receive. In fact, I'm going to buy one for myself.Well worth the price of this product. Also, how can you go wrong with a genuine pearl as a gift? ;) As you have probably figured out, for that price, the chain is not gold, etc. That's okay, just take a nicer chain to loop through it if the gift is for an adult. If the gift is for a young girl, then everything in the package is perfect. ;)I have only purchased the turtle cage, rose cage and dolphin cage styles. Some of the other designs look good but some look ugly. So, zoom in on the photos. You don't want the cage over-powering the pearl and you want the cage design to be nice. I highly recommend the turtle, dolphin and rose shapes. :)

These wish pearl necklaces are great! Such a unique gift that no one expects. Plus they have plenty of options. It can be somewhat difficult to open the shell with the small plastic tool you are given. I tend to use a knife instead. Also it can take a little bit of thinking to open the pendant itself. But still a wonderful item. Be aware that the pearl you find could be any color. So if you're buying this for a white pearl, I might choose something else. Though the element of surprise is also part of the product.

Made a nice gift. The only thing keeping it from 5 star is that the box's graphics looked a little cheap. The pearl factory in Maui was selling these canned cultured pearls for $15, so this was a good deal for the pearl AND a pearl locket. After reading reviews, I was worried about the quality of the oyster, but it was intact and the pearl was still inside. No foul odor, just a smell similar to rubbing alcohol. The pearl was white, and large. I was pleased with how it turned out, and my kids were excited to crack the oyster open. The pearl locket isn't the greatest quality. I'm not sure what type of metal it is, but I expect it to tarnish rather quickly.

I got this for my Grandson’s 8th birthday and it was a fun gift for him. Very easy to put together and exciting to see what color pearl was inside.

Really cool gift. Looks great and has a great idea behind it. Shell was hard to open and cracked so we couldn't keep it. But my kid loves it.

Bought it as a mother's day gift. I didn't see it personally so I'm relaying my mother in-law's opinions. It looks wonderful. It's a pleasant surprise to find a pearl in the can. Not a gift you get everyday. Only downfall is that the pearl looks as if it could fall out of the pendant's cage if at a certain angle. Other than that, lovely gift.

I really hesitated before ordering this . Seemed it could be a real disappointment to my turtle lover.She was thrilled... beautiful peach pearl, made her very happy. Is not high quality jewelry, but I know what I will get at this price point.

It’s super cheap. Not worth the money in my opinion. Great activity for kids. Not worth anything beyond that.
