Lightweight, compact, filling and yummy!
I purchased the 3-pack sampler and gave them a try on my hikes. I liked the convenience, taste, texture, natural ingredients, amount of calories, light weight and small volume of space needed in my pack. My favorite turned out to be the chocolate banana. My only complaints have nothing to do with product quality or taste which are excellent, but it’s the reason why I subtracted 1 star: (1) I have to purchase 9 meals at a time, and (2) the cost including shipping exceeds $6 per meal.Update on 10/11/2019I have upgraded my rating to 5 stars. I’ve been a steady customer for awhile and keep coming back for more. Yes, they cost a bit more but they taste great, they are lightweight and compact, and dadgum it, I guess they are worth the money!

Frick yeah finally a decent trail meal bar!
I'm all about quick and easy when it comes to being out on the trail or camping, no time for a stove, I wanna get back out there. Boom lemme hit ya with Greenbelly meal! These things are easy to chew, have a pretty great texture, and taste pretty darn good. (only downside is they all kinda taste the same, flavor wise). I felt pretty good after eating one and washing it down with about 15oz of high quality H2O. Sustained me enough for about 3 hrs up the Mt.Whitney trail, I ate another half and was good for the rest of the way down while sippin on that goold ol H2O . THey arent too dry and they're relatively light for how much Kcal they pack! I like that the package is resealable, and after you're done you can use it for all your other trash, so it's easy to pack in and pack out! BOTTOM LINE grab these bad boys for your next trip into nature or wherever you need a quick and easy meal!

Taste terrible
trying to figure out food for a backcountry hunt so I gave these a try but I can't do it. Tastes like cardboard. I am not a foodie at all and I usually can eat bars just to fuel up for the hunt, but these taste terrible.

I would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could.
So two reason I have given it a four star and not a five, let me start by saying these Meals2go are excellent for hiking, they are filling, and I like the taste, though I don't Love the taste (1 of the reasons for a 4 star not a five). I really think most people will at least like the taste, but of course that is just my opinion. The only real criticism I have is the level of protein, it is 17 grams per meal. I really think it should be higher. At least 20 and more would be better. Still this is an excellent product, and I may be being a bit picky. I definitely recommend it.

Perfect in a Pinch
I ordered these because I wanted to have a meal for when you don't have the time or tenacity to bother cooking while on the trail. Just took these on a 3 day excursion in the Porcupine Mts, and man did they come in handy in a pinch. When you need energy while walking or even the chilled rainy morning when getting out your travel stove sounds daunting. Also they are soft and delicious! I have braces and have to be careful with certain snack bars. These are terrific and price per calorie is certainly worth it.PS. Chris's ebook was entirely fun to read, especially if you are thinking about an Applachian Trail excursion. I've read many tip books on it (thinking about it myself) but none have been so thorough and yet casual in writing the experiences he's had on the trail. Love it all and will always recommend!

Great Calorie/carb load, kind of dry
Pretty good trail snack/breakfast for a backpacking trip, but they are dry and mealy. Not really a recommended go to when you're fatiqued and hungry. They arent appetizing enough because of their dry flavor. They are great for weight/calorie ratio though, and I would still recommend having one of these packed.

Needs a bit of quality control.
The taste of these are very good, and they are very satisfying. However, the weights varied wildly. One package of two bars was a whopping 180 grams (they are supposed to be 155 grams per container), and one was under 135 grams. That means that the calories that you're getting from one package will be different than what's on the package. Curious why it would be difficult to insure uniformity... I also bought the new flavor directly from Greenbelly (mango, coconut, cashew) and it was delicious. But it was so crumbly that I lost half of one half on the ground, and numerous other little pieces as I tried to eat the remains. I would love it if Greenbelly could 1) make a consistent product vis a vis weight, and 2) make a bar that you can eat easily on the trail without leaving half of the product for the wildlife...

Great meal! Quick, easy, lightweight.
I used these for two different multi-day backpacking trips, and they were great for lunch! Super filling and great for a lighter-weight packing. I'll definitely be using these again when I want lots of calories, and I want to keep my meal quick, easy and lightweight. I appreciate the clean ingredient list, and that the bar did not taste chalky. The apricot peanut were definitely my favorite.
