Why didn't I buy this a long time ago!!!!
We have a Single cab Chevy Colorado with barely enough room for one or two small bags behind our seats so they can still recline comfortably while we drive. This Bar was a LIFE SAVER and STRESS SAVER as well.On our trips, Usually we tie strap our stuff down and everytime we need something out of the back, or out of the ice chest at our pit stops, we have to undo the straps.... it became a pain. This time, For two seperate Holiday trips, We put all of our luggage-bags, Potted Plants we had as gifts, ice chest, totes etc... all up against the cab in the truck bed and the bar kept everything in place. NOTHING MOVED!I did tie a small bungie strap to a couple small bag handles (Had christmas gifts in them) so no one could just walk by and pull them out of the truck, other than that nothing was sliding or out of place.Even when we got back I went to the grocery story and extended the bar towards the tailgate to hold my groceries in place. Same thing... Nothing moved. This bar is so easy to use and is made very well. (We had seen the Reese brand bike racks at a U-Haul office before, so we saw the quality in person, but hadn't purchased any of their stuff)So Happy with this cargo bar, grips on the ends are large and hold in place even against a plastic bed liner, the bar is made of Heavy duty materials and seems very sturdy and well made. I am glad I spent the extra few bucks and got the ratchet style, I think I would have been disappointed with the turn bar- grip style.Spend the extra couple bucks and get a ratcheting style bar!! You will not regret it.

A Good Choice for Value, Function, and Price
It's a good compromise of value, function, and price. There are more expensive cargo bars out there that may be of "beefier" construction but this one is plenty strong and it just works. The racheting system is the same you will find on racheting cargo straps so operation should be familiar. This cargo bar fits as secure as you'll want it to fit and holds up to heavy shifting cargo without budging. I'm glad I saved myself a few bucks and chose this model by Reese. Personally, I've had good luck with Reese products in the past so it comes as no surprise that this was a good choice.

2013 Ford F-150 STX
I’m using this under the bed cover of my F-150 to keep plastic bins with tools and stuff in them from sliding around. For the price, it’s perfect. This was one of the cheaper ones, so I was concerned it would be junk. Not so. Certainly not made for super heavy duty use, but still pretty good for my use. I like that I can install the bar at an angle as the feet move to accommodate angled installation. Easy to learn how to use and reliable. This works exactly like ratchet straps works but even easier because the pole doesn’t flop around like a strap would. Good stuff!

Durable & light weight
Works perfect to hold my cooler & blackstone in the back of my truck while traveling. Recommend!

Great Idea - But VERY VERY FLIMSY
The item is a great idea - but to get any sort of hold you will actually be pushing the sides of the pickup ed outward and deforming them.It is very weak construction at best.If you anticipate any type of heavy hold this is not the item for you. For very light weight items to keep from shifting the bed, this is ok to use.Not what I am used to from Reese Products.
