Perfect blend of odor control, good hand protection and handy handles!
When dealing with something as mission critical as handling my dogs poop, I insist on certain performance metrics. Odor control is king as this thing has to live in our garage trash until garbage day. Right up there with it is hand protection. I'm gonna lose my breakfast if this thing tears mid-pick-up. and finally once it's bagged I've got to get it home while handling a golden retriever peak squirrel season. The handles slip neatly onto the side of my treat bag/poop bag roll dispenser. Finally, need to know I'm doing my best to take care of the planet. These bags are home compostable and although I am not composting at the moment, I know these plant-based bags aren't hanging around the planet too long.

They actually compost!
I love these bags. They actually breakdown in an above-ground backyard compost! I’m so happy I don’t have to keep digging holes around my yard to bury dog poo and poo bags.A few tips for those wishing to compost these bags:1. Always add a sufficient amount of “brown” material when poo is tossed in your compost. Shredded paper and non-clumping pine or paper cat litter have worked great for me, as they soak up moisture emitted from the poo, detract flies and other insects, and help reduce nasty smell.2. Try not to knot the bags when tossing them in your compost pile. I’ve noticed that when knotted, the bags take longer to breakdown.3. Toss in other “green” materials along with poo and bags, like kitchen scraps and grass clippings. This will help heat up your compost pile and speed up the breakdown process of the bags.4. When possible, turn your compost often (once a week). And always make sure dog poo and poo bags are covered by brown material or finished compost. This will help reduce smell and improve the composting process. These bags are strong and large enough to hold a massive amount of poop. The handles are so nice. Just stop stressing over dog poop and buy these bags :)

Finally! A poop bag whose adhesive won't rip the bag!
Let's get some of the main pluses out of the way. Yes, this is a plant-based bag. Yes it has handles. Yes, it is sturdy enough to pick up some of that messy stuff that gets stuck in the grass. Now let's go to two of the big issues that vex both the traditional plastic poop bags as well as the plant-based bags: the quality of the adhesive strip that keeps the roll closed, and the perforations separating each bag. Most dog owners know that there's almost always too much adhesive on that little strip that keeps the rolls all neat before the first use. Often, the first bag on the roll has a hole, rendering it useless. Not so with Planet Poop rolls! After using 5 bags, I can say that all the adhesive strips came off easily. One of the other pet peeves is the perforations separating each bag. Often, the perforations aren't adequate and the next thing you know, you've torn off a bag only to find that the only thing keeping the bag closed at that end is the quality of the sealing job at the bottom of the bag. Planet Poop's perforations are pretty good. Not perfect--I managed to tear off the bottom of one bag today, but overall surprisingly decent. This is a problem with traditional plastic bags, but the plant-based bags seem to have a greater issue, perhaps because the material feels a bit softer.I'm very positive about these bags and will definitely order more the next time I need bags. I highly recommend them!

These bags are in a whole other level of quality.
The media could not be loaded. These are without a doubt the best bags we have ever had. Everything about them is perfect. First the feel. They have this unique texture that works with your fingers to open up effortlessly. They roll out and dispense incredible because of the deep perforated cut that separates them. And they are folded in a way that when you first open them by rubbing your thumb and finger together, you are already holding the inside of one handle and the bag is open. The tall aspect is awesome. Everyone has run into the issue where puppy has had some tummy trouble and the only way to clean up is to pull up some grass too. With regular bags, you can run out of plastic as you pull grass and end up with a dirty hand. But these bags are so long you are practically covered to your elbow when you reach through and I’ve never even worried about that issue since. They are thick and sturdy to keep smells in and not swinging through the air on your way to the drop off. Plus to know on top of everything this bag does that is so much more than any cheap plastic bag, this one helps solve a plastic problem instead of adding to it. FANTASTIC JOB GUYS! You have a customer for LIFE !!!

They biodegrade before you even use them 🤦🏻
I honestly cannot believe how terrible these are. Every single bag I tried to use ripped in half no matter how carefully I tried to open it. This left me in some terrible situations with dog poop... I will leave you to paint your own pictures. I just kept trying new bags thinking they would be better, but literally everyone I tried was a disaster. You can buy these if you want to, but I cannot for any earthly reasons see why you would want to go through the disgusting experience I did 🤢
