This is a great product for the price. I'm making my own puppet body but it's real difficult to come up with the head so I was very happy to find this.

We recently discovered our 9 month old grandson is intrigued and totally entertained by hand puppets. Being new to the hand puppet scene, I did quite a bit of shopping around and reading reviews before finally deciding to kick off his collection with a Folkmanis. Almost every one of their puppets has high accolades from their owners and it's no surprise, as each one of them is so very charming.It was difficult to decide on a species, but ultimately I chose the ostrich because it struck me as one of the sillier puppets. I find real life ostriches to be somewhat ridiculous and borderline obnoxious, so this puppet with her long lush eyelashes and sweet expression is particularly funny to me. It was a good decision, as my grandson's little toothless mouth broadens to his widest possible smile at the sight of this puppet. Now I just have to summon my inner hand puppeteer and come up with some interesting ostrich scripts/shows.It will be a real pleasure to build my grandson's puppet menagerie. I am now a true Folkmanis fan and if you're in the market for hand puppets look no further! Quality craftsmanship and classic, whimsical character assure your puppet will be treasured.

This was purchased because we had taken to playing "Ollie the ostrich" with just a hand acting as the ostrich. Both my kids (6/11) loved this puppet immediately and constantly want to talk to and play with her.The puppet is well made, very soft and works like you would expect a puppet to work.

This puppet is adorable and has alot of personality in its face. I use it as an arm protector so my kitten and puppy dont don't scratch up my arm while we're playing. I ordered another one for my friend after visiting her and seeing her scratched up arm due to her kitten which attacks her arm.

I'm in the Air Force, and I bought this puppet as an ostrich is our squadron's mascot. The puppet is well constructed, and the sturdy materials and stitching will doubtlessly hold up to many a staff meeting or commanders' call. My only complaint is that the beak is a little small. I'm a guy with average size hands, so while this puppet is fine for office hijinx, I imagine it would get uncomfortable after extended wear, i.e., during a puppet show. That said, the fur is beautifully made - whatever material or process they use gives it a gorgeous, life-like quality. The eyes are similarly well-made, almost as if the puppet is actually looking at you. The length of the puppet is also more than enough - I'm tall with long arms, and it still comfortably covered my forearm, so there's plenty of room to work with if this is going to be used in a puppet show. Whenever I move to another squadron with a different mascot, I'll com to Folkmanis first to see if they have a puppet!

The puppet is soooo good, but it leaves some hairs and when i put it on without sleeves it kind of itches. But overall i love it Sooo much!! Folkmanis is the best i put alot of puppets on my L̆̈ĭ̈s̆̈t̆̈

The story begins back in 2017 when I purchased this puppet as a trip buddy while I explored the vast caverns of the psychedelic underworld. Konky and I went on some wild adventures throughout the united states going to numerous music festivals. We had the bets of times...and worst of times. But in the end he was not just a puppet in which I could express my inner child, but a best friend who was always with me when I needed him.
