Fresh, delicious and perfect kimchi
Came very well packed with the ice pack. Sturdy container that opens and closes easy and does not leak or tip over in the fridge. Fresh and delicious ingredients with enough of the juices to use as additional seasons for cooking. It really does get better as you let it sit, unfortunately its so good i have not been able to leave it alone for too long. I am a repeat customer for life!

Wonderful Kimchi! Don't be afraid if bag arrives inflated
I can't say enough good things about the product or the customer service. I see other reviews that say the kimchi arrived inedible and un-returnable. I suspect these reviewers made the same mistake I did. I ordered during the coronavirus pandemic, so I wasn't surprised when the company emailed me that delivery would be delayed. When my kimchi arrived eleven days later, the bag container was bloated and the cooler bag wasn't very cold. I left the container outside (in case I'd need to take pictures for proof) and wrote Choi's Kimchi Co. to ask for a refund. The next day, I got an email apologizing for the inconvenience. It also explained that my kimchi was delayed at fulfillment, and had only been in transit for 3 days. It also explained that the kimchi was still safe to eat. Since kimchi is made to naturally and actively ferment, refrigeration is not immediately required and it doesn't spoil when left unrefrigerated for several days. The bloat of the bag was caused by the off-gas of CO2 that happens during the fermentation process. Still, they kindly issued a complete refund. But here's the kicker. I did a little more research and learned that some people leave kimchi out intentionally to get a softer texture and a more sour flavor. Like sauerkraut or blue cheese, letting it sit changes texture and taste but doesn't make it go bad. Remember, kimchi has been around a lot longer than refrigerators or air conditioning.I remembered that my unopened bag was still sitting outside under the trees. It had been sitting outside in moderate weather for over a day. You guessed it, I brought it inside and ate some. It was friggin' amazing kimchi. So don't be afraid about shipping this product. Not only did it fair well during an extra day of transit, I then put it to the test by leaving it outside in late April in North Carolina. The texture and taste were exactly what I'd hoped for. Maybe I'll leave it out again next time I order!I wrote the company and told them what happened. Now I'm writing this review — something I don't usually feel I have time to do — in the hopes that I can save potential customers and the company some future hassle. This is an excellent product and a reputable company. I will definitely order again.

I love this Kimchi! Enjoy! 😋
Love it! I immediately remove it from the plastic container and place it in very clean glass containers and refrigerate! Simple! If you've never tried Kimchi, but love spicy, none sweet, fermented, crisp veggies...you might want to try Kimchi! And I love this one! 🥰

GOOD BUT
So this is a great price for this amount of kimchi you get.. however $11 for shipping plus tax drives up the price. As far as the taste goes, it was petty good but I don't like the radishes.. so that gave it an overall taste that I didn't really care for.. but I still ate it all.. it was fresh and still fermenting when it arrived which was great. However, the shipping cost and the radishes is why I won't be reordering. Seoul vegan kimchi is still the reigning king for me rn.. but it's hard to find in the local stores and the bag that's sold on this site is trash.

Good Kimchee
I spent 1.5 years in S. Korea in the late 70's. This stuff is exactly what I was looking for. Not too hot but just the right amout of heat. This is good stuff. And yes, it arrives in a bloated bag which has been explained off as offgas from the fermentaion process. I've ordered 2 different times, and still had the same puffy bag. Once you get this stuff in your mouth, you'll know it's the real deal. It's kimchee and pretty damn good for your gut.

I initially hesitated...
But I'm glad I finally got it! I thought the cost was a little high but it isn't, the bag is a very generous size. And the ferment is perfect. The lacto tingle is great, the flavor is spot on especially for vegan, and I keep finding myself at the fridge with a fork. The heat level is perfect for me. I've sprinkled some ginger in it, ate it as is, added to a rice dish with mixed veggies, really good on its own and as a compliment. It's very difficult to find good around where I live and this hits the spot. I've made my own a few times, and for the amount you get in this bag, it's not much cheaper to do yourself, and then if it spoils you're out the whole thing anyway. Considering it took a few days to ship as opposed to a month to make and it's nearly the same price for the amount, it's a no brainer. The only reason I'll make it again is to try different recipes, otherwise this is my new go to regular.

Very Good and my go to.
Haven't been disappointed with this Kimchi. It has always arrived as a freshly made batch so I get to enjoy through all the stages that kimchi goes through as it ages. (even though it never lasts long)This has replaced pickles as my go to for sour and spicy flavor.I love this kimchi and will continue to buy it when I want some spice and sour.

Uncompetitive cost
Let’s face it. This thing has cost issues. I got this multiple times but occasionally it arrives semi stale. This might not be manufacturer but shipping not being Prime eligible and slow and often outsourced. The biggest problem is cost. While it tastes ok, the pricing is nowhere competitive enough for alternatives in Costco or local Korean store.Even if you don’t feel like going to local Korean store physically, using delivery service like instacart for Costco leads to around 0.18 dollar per oz for Jongga Kimchi which is good quality. So? My point is this is only good if you don’t have Costco or local supermarket nearby
