Good folks at Sehix...recommend buy.
I had a little trouble starting this trimmer. The good news was , since it is a four stroke, it was pretty easy yanking the cord but didn't make it start so I called the company bhone number on the manual. A guy answered the phone and he turned out to be a really nice guy named Bob. He talked me through all the tricks he knew, still no go, He then said that he would check one to be sure it was ok and would send it to me. Long story short, Bob sent me a trimmer he checked out. i pimed it 10 squeezes , gave it a yank and away we go. Been happy as a jaybird ever stnce. Runs good, cuts good, iweighed full of gas ...10.4 poundspounds. pretty nice.

Straight outta the box to mountain bike trail for 4hrs. Non stop cutting every thing in it's path. This will devour honey suckle and thron bushes all day long, cuts just as good as a stihl, probably won't live as long tho.

Senix 26.5cc hedge trimmer
Got to finally use the hedge trimmer. At first I was having issues keeping it running. As soon as you let off the throttle it would shut down. It was a pain to get it started back up. So I had to adjust the ideal screw and throttle screw. Now it stays running and doesn’t have any other issues. The trimmer does have a lot of power. But it is a little heavy. Once I got it all adjusted right, well to me it was worth the money.

A step up
I have been looking to replace my old 2 cycle hedger for about 5 years. The one I had was good and it still works. But my transition to all 4 cycle engines has been long. 4 cycle edgers are far superior to the 2 cycle counterparts. Got my first 4 cycle blower 2 years ago. No going back. Fill her up and start. No mix and no foul exhaust. So when I browsed for a 4 cycle hedger, I was shocked and glad one is in production. It is unfortunate that it is not American made. But American made lawn mowers have always been 4 cycle. The search led to this Senix hedge trimmer. I used it for the first time just before Christmas 2020. It took a while to start up. But once it started, what a job it did. It is new and needs to break in. No problems yet. It is a step up and now I just hope it gets enough workout to break in and work like all other 4 cycle equipment. I love the fact that you don't have to mix the gas. Fill her up and start. My 2 cycle took at least 5 minutes to start on its last job. After this hedger's first job. It started up in less ten pulls. This is just a start. But I am happy so far. This hedger cuts fast and don't have to be revved up to do the job. The blades don't move until you throttle it, unlike the 2 cycle. A nice safety feature. The cut is nice and clean. The longer blade gets the job done fast. Took half as long to do today's job and did not have to worry about running out of gas. Looks like a keeper. Did not get gassed while doing this job. No stinky exhaust. Just fill and go. Should oil blades before first use. Will oil again till they loosen up. Still would oil to extend their life.

Hedge trimmer
The hedge trimmer was a good price for the money. It is very powerful. It is gas. I prefer over electric it seems you get more power with gas than electric safety wise. It’s pretty good a little heavy that’s my only complaint but otherwise the machine works very well.

Works great when it runs...
So I got this to trim a long row of overgrown bushes. At first it would not prime. I pushed that bulb so many times I thought it might break. I'd push it 10 times and no fuel. Try again, same result. Would pump, then pull the starter a few times and then let it sit. This went on for about an hour before it finally primed. I got it running and let it idle. At first it would run fine but soon it would just cut out. It would shut off when rapidly opening the throttle. It would start right back up, but was hit or miss if it was going to run and die. I managed to keep it going by feathering the throttle until it was wide open, but even then it would occasionally shut off as soon as it touched a branch. After fueling for the third time, it began to leak fuel out of the cap when rotating the unit. It hadn't don't this prior. Removed cap and verified it was on without cross threading. It leaked some more... Seeing as the unit is designed to rotate, I don't think this was supposed to happen.Anything I like? Sure. When it ran it made quick work of the bushes. It was able to cut through some thick branches, 1 inch or so. It's not real heavy at around 15 pounds. I just wish it would stay running.
