this camra is grate
I acquired this camera as a replacement for my old ELP camera, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. It captures stunning pictures and is incredibly compact. I primarily use it to live stream my aquarium, allowing me to keep a watchful eye on the fish even when I'm away from home. Furthermore, its versatility makes it a fantastic option for a security camera, with a wide range of lens options available that fit perfectly.

A small footprint with a lot of potential
A remarkably powerful little camera with a tiny footprint. It is a 2 megapixel Full HD 1080p it certainly has a lot going for it in its tiny box which is about 4cm square.I am connecting it to a Microsoft Surface Laptop to record videos of our tortoise table where we are hatching tortoise eggs.I am trying to work it as a motion sensor lens so when the eggs crack filming starts but no luck so far so I might just set up a timer. We have the table set with spotlights for heat and this provides adequate lighting to get a good picture. One of the benefits is having the fisheye lens which enables coverage of the whole table. The future possibilities of this are what makes it interesting. I haven’t begun to discover the full range of what can be done with it.It’s a great time waster, in a good way, and everyday is a learning curve. If you’re looking for a challenge and something to develop then this is a fascinating item.OK, it’s not cheap and I’ve taken one star off for it’s limited appeal but its compact efficiency makes it worth it.

superb
This is a really excellent little camera. It's not a spy camera or a toy - it's a serious piece of kit that just happens to be very small. I got the version that is packaged in a metal enclosure.I am using it with a Mac but I have also tested it with Raspberry Pi and it works well with both. It's simply plug & play - no messing around, it just works and is recognised as a USB video source. The video quality is high - 1080p - and the colour balance is normal. The fisheye lens is great making this perfect for background in streaming videos, for taking a view out the window, and so on.Very happy with this product.

Great hobbiest camera
I really like this camera unit. Out the box in comes assembles and it is ready to plug and play into whatever device you want. I plugged this into my Windows PC, MacBook and Raspberry Pi and it worked without any issues. The lens is a fish-eye lens so it captures a pretty interesting image. The perfect surveillance camera or hide box camera. For the price (£71.99 at the time of review) I think its pretty good value especially if you are interested in Raspberry Pi type projects. Having the camera inside a housing means you can pretty much start using it from the off without having to worry about creating one. In terms of quality, it is very well made and the image quality is very good.

Okay
This camera is available in two forms: a module configuration, which consists of a circuit board with the camera mounted, or in a small metal box.It is aimed at those seeking a specific application. This could involve installation into a project or using the simple box camera as a webcam in conjunction with a separate microphone. The benefit of using a standalone microphone is the improved audio quality compared to the integrated microphones found in combined webcams. In terms of usability, the camera is very straightforward. It comes with a long cable and a traditional USB connection (USB 2.0 A), making it plug-and-play compatible with Windows and Linux. The choice of lens is also important. A fisheye lens offers a rounded appearance and a wider field of view, while the two options of 2.1mm and 3.6mm lenses provide a more traditional webcam-like perspective. Your choice will depend on your preferences and needs. The price reflects that this is a more specialized product. However, based purely on price, it competes with many similar cameras that offer full HD resolution or better. As always, it's worth checking Amazon for other products and comparing options.

Excellent camera
This is super, the first ELP camera i got that is plug and play and a fully contained unit rather than module. As a photographer I’ve always played with fisheye lenses and love their use and practicality. This fixes a perfect 180° field of view and is very sharp. This worked right away hooking it up to my Mac and running tests, the auto exposure is spot on.Not exactly sure what I’m going to do with it yet as this is really versatile - give the huge wide angle I’m thinking of using it for a DIY security camera, but can have a lot of fun using it as a webcam too.

I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable wide-angle webcam!
'ELP USB Camera 2MP 180 Degree Fisheye Lens USB Webcam 100fps/60fps 1080P USB Camera Module with Metal Case, UVC USB2.0 Webcam for Computer Laptop Jetson Nano Windows Linux Raspberry Pi.'The camera arrived nicely boxed, complete with a user guide, which was a good start. It’s lightweight and compact, with measurements matching the listing description spot on—no surprises there.Installation was a doddle; it was ready to use straight out of the box with no faffing about—just plug it in, and you’re good to go. The cable is of decent quality and a reasonable length, which adds to its practicality. The picture quality is excellent, crisp and clear, and I’m particularly chuffed with the 180-degree fisheye lens. The wide-angle view is exactly what I was after, and it delivers brilliantly. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but it’s worth it if you need that standout fisheye perspective. Straightforward to use and performs perfectly for my needs—I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable wide-angle webcam!
