A good fan for "white noise" purposes and cool air.
Best. Fan. Ever. This is the only fan our family uses. We have run through three of these over the years. We live under the flight pattern of an international airport and this fan provides some much-appreciated "white noise" as well as cool, consistent air. It is not a silent fan, but we don't need that for our purposes. It is very sturdy and well made and affordable. We will continue to buy this exact fan online as long as it is available.

works well
Bought it to replace its predecessor. It’s most definitely a Vornado vortex fan but doesn’t seem to have the same “push” the previous fan had. almost makes me wish it was working to do a comparison

Bigger is Better !
I was looking to buy a better quality fan than the average cheapy out there. Vornado seemed to have pride in their product and its history. I purchased a 533 and a 633 to compare and fill multiple fan needs. The 633 is my favorite and quite a bit larger of the two. They all look so similar in pics but are not. Both seem well made but are entirely plastic. I learned by comparison that unless space is a problem bigger is better. The best use is a larger one on medium or low while giving sufficient airflow. In this case the 533 noisily running on high moves about as much air as larger fan quietly humming on low or medium. Because of tunnel design housing they seem to blow air longer distance but a narrower air pattern. No unusual spinning air "vortex" but good long distance of movement. I would buy them again but only time will tell if the higher price is warranted. I have had a few "cheap" fans in my life that seem to run forever but the caution would be these days they just don't move a lot of air.

Just the thing!
More oomph than the 630 - so I can run this one on the second or lowest speed and feel the air circulating in my room without much noise at all. The 630, in the same room, was best run on high - but that was pretty loud when I was trying to go to sleep. These fans make a huge difference and work as described. I live in southeastern Pennsylvania - summer is mostly hot and humid. My house was built in 1890 and sits in the middle of a small town. The windows are tall, but there's not a lot of cool air flowing in most days. Each room took some experimenting for me to find the sweet spot to place the fan for the best results. My ceilings are high, but the rooms are mostly small. Vornado has definitely enabled me to cut back on running my air conditioners.

Best fan ive had
Best fan ive had. Only issue I have, it after a few months, I have to run it on high, then turn it down to med or low for it to work. If I start on low, it wont spin, and you can hear the motor. There isnt anything restricting it etc, just the ways its been a month after using it.

Purchased from Prime Time LLC
The media could not be loaded. I love Vornado fans. They are solid quality a last a long time. I own 3 of them and purchased this to replace my old bedroom fan. The problem here is from whoever packed it. They took an already wet box, put it in a dry box to ship and sent it out. Who does that? What you can’t see (because I am unable to load anymore photos or video) is that the fan inside the wet box was wrapped in a plastic bag. There were drops of water on the fan housing but none on the inside of the fan as far as I can tell. I have plugged it up and it works but I’m disgruntled. Did they not expect that anyone would say anything about this?

Nice but not energy efficient
I like the fan but I looked up the energy efficiency. For an 8 hour sleep night, it uses $1.20 per night. That's $36/month. Wow. The cost of the fan is nothing compared to the cost of using it. If you need white noise, I recommend getting the Marpac Classic white noise machine. Don't get the Elite (cheaply made). And the marpac only uses $1 per month in electricity.

Forget it - knob broke first day.
Worst fan ever. The knob broke on the second day and we have to use pliers or a wrench to turn the speed knob. Kills your hand. Good fan strength and speed but crappy plastic parts.
