I love this bag! Everything about it is top notch.
I love this bag! Everything about it is top notch. I'll admit, I was surprised, but everything is top notch. I especially love the way that everything fits in then bag and that it is packed in a few separate bags. Makes it easy to pack like items together, and then to repack them into the bag. I set up the tent and left it up for a week. I goes up easy. Even during a pouring rain, there were no leaks. I'm 5'10" and the tent was a little tight. You can fit two people in there, but there isn't much room for anything else. Guess I'm nit-picking here. This really is a great value. I would highly recommend it to friends, and I would buy it again. The best thing about this bag is the fact that it sits in the back seat of the truck and looks like a school book bag. The bad thing is, there is no way to attach the tent. So I bought a few moly straps, and, if the need arises, I can strap it on and go.

Good stuff
Good starter bag for beginners. Some of the equipment is kinda cheap quality but most of it is really good stuff. Just replace/remove stuff you don't want/need. Surprisingly light for the amount of equipment within aswell. Grade A product.

Good insurance against disaster.
Love the bag. A very good kit to start with. I'd be comfortable to run out the door with it today. I will slowly upgrade items for better weight and quality as I go along. I haven't set up the tent yet due to cold and snow. It definitely lowered my preparedness anxiety level.

You can have better quality equipment for more money
Cheap equipment for the most part... but you get what you pay for. You can have better quality equipment for more money, so if your plan is to simply have another option, it's not a bad deal.I would not recommend this kit to anyone as their "only" option as it is insufficient, but a good starting place.

This is a very good bag, plus there is additional space.
I won this bag along with it's tent, and I have to say that there is very little that I will add to this bag. It is outstanding as it comes, but there is plenty of room to add more items that you would feel the need for. I did add a Sawyer mini water filtration kit. (Highly recommend) I also added more food and some other items. This is a great bag.
