Easy for one person to install
A ton of reviews said this is hard for one person to install, but I did it in probably around 10 minutes. I’ve only had it up for a day and so far it’s holding onto my blackout curtains. Obviously I’m not gonna go tugging on my curtains a ton because then it might fall down. I think it’s worth it because I didn’t have to screw anything into the wall. It does come with a hook for the middle so the bar doesn’t bend but that you have to drill into the wall so I didn’t use it. I will update review later if issues arise. So far I love it :)

Great curtains! Put them up with two people
These are a wicked good solution for luxury apartments that will bill you for any mark or hole. We can’t leave damage on the walls, but these have padding to protect the surface and are truly tension pole mechanics.I love that they’re out from the wall and my curtains can be opened and closed easily when on grommets. I put one curtain on upside down and the pocket fabric is too tight to allow movement but the one that is correct moves well enough.I have a cat who loves the window and despite being a little toot and grabbing the curtains on occasion, they’ve stay strong. You need two people to install them, and step stools. Don’t try to skimp and one person with no assist it. It’s going to not be sturdy and then it will fee like a sh***y product. It’s not. You just didn’t do it right.

Arrived damaged and missing half the rod
I received a badly damaged box with gaping holes and it looked like it had been repackaged multiple times. I ordered two NEW rods, not refurbished. One was fine. Upon opening the other I discovered it was missing hardware and half of the rod. Completely unusable.

Work fine. Easy to install. Heavy curtain might pull the middle part of the rod down a little.
I purchased many of this curtain rod (both oil rub bronze and brushed nickel colors) and all of them have been working fine until now. It has been a month and a half so far. They stay tight to the window frames and haven't fallen (and I do hope they won't fall ever). It's easy to install just as shown in the video and the package also has installation directions. Just do NOT tighten the rod too much (it's recommended to do 5 turns to tighten the rod). On one rod, I tightened it too much and heard the crack sound, which I think something broke inside the rod; however, the rod is still holding up with curtains hanging on it so I just left them like that. There's some little problem with this, they can take curtains up to 20 lbs. BUT the longer the rod you extend and the heavier the curtains are, the lower the middle part will be dragged down (not parallel to the frame all the way from one end to another). I put 2 medium-to-heavyweight curtains and 2 very lightweight curtains on to one rod that is extended to 84" and notice the middle part has been pulled down a bit (just a little bit so it doesn't look bad). But the curtains and the rods have been holding up fine. Also, one of the rods I bought had loose end so I just couldn't fix and tighten the rod. I fixed this by using the plier to tighten and fix the length of the rod before I put it up on the window frame. No problem after that. For the price, compared with many other brands, I think this is affordable, works fine and also looks good. Plus, no holes in your window frame (I have aluminum window frames so I prefer not to drill any holes in them.

Easy to setup and strong
Really fast to set up and strong. The rod itself seems sturdy. Hopefully will not lose tension over time.

Worked great
Very pleased with this, bought it to put up blackout curtains in an apartment. I’m now moving out two years later and it has stayed up in place the entire time with no damage to the walls.

Great concept without great execution, lot of room for improvement
I bought it for windows 56 inches wide. First of all, the product that I got was different than the picture with much shorter bracket, which I presume produce less frictional force and therefore makes it less stable. It fits alright in my case, with a tendency to rotate vertically. However, with a wider window with the 48-84 inch rods, it may not have enough strength. The rubberized pat of the brackets that faces the wall is definitely a good design and super helpful. However, the rods are not so sturdy. these rods are basically tension rods with bent brackets to look like a regular curtain rod and the relatively flimsy design causes failure to stay attached, more frequently than it should be. It can hold a 3 layered heavy blackout curtain alright, but the strength would have been better if the rods were sturdier with larger brackets. The twist that locks the telescopic rod sections at a particular length is also not very functional, as it twists very little and therefore can be undone and fail rather quickly. At best, this is a good product to go for if you are at a pinch, however there is a great room for improvement.

Elegant, has the look of the real thing.
Using as a room divider, and I'm so glad I found this curtain rod! It's a great option for apartment living - it has so much the look of a genuine curtain rod, not like a tension rod at all! That totally made the difference for what the finished product looked like, because the rod not only extends past the sides with the ball end-caps, but the whole rod goes up and out from the frame/window. It's not under and within the frame like a traditional tension rod would be. AND the frame I hung in doesn't even have a right-angle edge (see picture). It has curves to it and this rod STILL grips to that perfectly and is not budging or going anywhere. Definitely takes two people to hang it, and pay attention to the directions because there's a crucial last step that we almost missed, and without that there will be no tension. But otherwise is easy to hang, and once we figured out what we missed the tension was perfect. Has been up a couple weeks now, no problems. I'm not sure how it does with more than one use as I plan to leave it right where it is until I ever move out. Love!
