All the hot water a bathroom sink could ever need!
We turned the temperature down by half and have plenty of warm water for handwashing.

Yes - you can have instant hot water!
I should have bought this years ago! Every night, especially in winter, my wife washes her face and says, "boy that's cold!" Our master bath is the furthest place from our hot water tank. Sure, it gets hot water, but it takes a long while. The shower is not so bad since it moves more water. I wanted to get a small "instant" hot / tankless system, but these draw 30+ amps and nothing in our bathroom is greater than 15 amps (cost of adding thicker gauge wire is big $$). So... I went with this (draws 12). Awesome. Hot water in 2 seconds (depends on how far you set it up - I have a 45" run from tank to faucet). 1.5G does not seem like that much, but it more than enough to wash your face and then some. Install was straight forward - everything is standard size. If you can mount a faucet, you can put this heater into action. And if you need a plumber - this is easy/quick job, so it should not be too bad. Essentially silent. It has a small green light which is sort of like a weak night light. I suppose you could put a piece of tape over it. This does require descaling and some maintenance.

IMPORTANT! Dimensions are not accurate. FULL REVIEW update.
Disregard the one-star reviews for any other categories. See the overall rating. Four stars because of the misleading dimensions as outlined as follows. The unit dimensions state that it is 14.4 inches tall. This is not entirely useful information based on the fact that the relief valve ads an extra 3+ inches to the overall height totaling >17.4 inches of vertical space needed for installation. Fittings to connect the unit may also affect the space needed above the heater. Fortunately the unit with the relief and connectors fit under my sink. The other dimensions will be affected since a down pipe needs to be installed on the pressure relief to carry away the fluid should the relief actuate. I have not installed a down pipe. That will cone later.

Didn't even turn on! Arrived diffective.
I spent a few hours installing this appliance only to find out that no one bothered to check that it could even turn on! I disconnected everything and opened the bottom (as recommended to reset the unit), installed it again and it didn't turn on. Very disappointing. I have no idea if it will even work when it does turn on, but I did order a replacement only because I now have all the plumbing fittings for it. I am not optimistic but I will follow up with another review after I install the next one. I just hope that SOMEONE will check the unit before shipping it. It never occurred to me to plug it in for a second before installation to see if it even turns on but I would recommend it to anyone who buys anything electric that requires extensive installation. WHO SENDS OUT AN APPLIANCE THAT DOESN'T TURN ON ANYWAY? BAD BUSINESS.Another review coming in couple of weeks.

Small Water Tank...
The tank is fine with ONE EXCEPTION, it does NOT have a drainage tap on the bottom. I will use it in the mountain house with this one I HAVE TO DISMANTLE IT each time and drain it, NOT CONVENIENT!

Great customer service
WE purchased the EMT-1 for a cabin with a long run from a crawl space water heater to a second floor half bath. Worked great for a year, then we found grunge in the tank when cleaning at the end of a season. Part of the time the well water supply was not softened, and the heating element was pretty crudded up. Eemax sent a replacement unit promptly (no charge), but while I was doing the install, a thermal cut out got broken, not great instructions, and likely a minor design flaw. I called customer service, sent a proof of purchase and a couple of pictures and they sent a new replacement heater out the following day (again, no charge). Seems like this type of service is getting more rare, but this was a very good experience. Phone contact Stephan was cordial and responsive.

Great Quality Easy to install NSF and UL approved
Very pleased with this heater. Had it now for a very long time. Very durable. Has 6 year warranty. Never had any trouble. Amazing feature hard to find in any water heater is if it runs dry there is a overheat protection that can be reset with a paper clip without opening the heater. So it will not burn out when it runs dry.Used for Concession Truck. Inspector was pleased to see NSF approval.Would recommend and buy again.

Corroded after 18month! Eemax was first not willing to replace but after appeal we got a new unit.
Due to wrong material combination (it comes this way from the manufacturer) of the boiler body and the Temperature/Pressure Relief Valve we found after 18 month already heavy corrosion on the thread between both parts (as seen on both fotos). Luckily we saw the damage after cleaning the cabinet below the sink and could prevent a massive water leakage in our kitchen. We explained this to the warranty support of Eemax but they first told us that any kind of corrosion is not covered by their warranty. After repeated protest and appeal in Eemax customer care organization they finally did send us a new unit free of charge!!!!!
