I love this brush! It's very easy to use on thick or thin fur, easy to clean and store. Not too big, so it gets to all the places on your pet you need to brush. Gentle on the skin, my cat begs to be brushed! Detangles the fur without pulling. The under coat is also easily combed out and it removes the dead hair. I recommend this and have purchased several over the years. The price is reasonable too!

We have 2 female kitties who don't like each other or sharing their stuff. The previous wire brush they shared was getting pretty thin and I really wasn't sure about this style but decided to give them a shot. One cat can't get enough of it and the other tolerates this type as well as the wire.I actually like this one better for getting clumps out. Doesn't seem, to cause Cleo as much distress. She has very oily mid-length fur and some parts on her thighs are particularly prone to oily clumps that are tough to comb through. I thought the old wire style would have been better at it but this one actually seems more effective and less painful.Clementine has shorter more bristly fur so she doesn't really get snarled. just sheds. These brushes are perfect for both of our girls and we would buy again. As for color, we ordered purple/black and that's what we got, although color wasn't a concern for me. Can't speak to durability until we've used them for a longer time.One thing to note is it takes some finessing to get the angle right so you don't rip their skin off (slight exaggeration.) At fist I kept getting the brush caught in the fur which almost made me return. But after trying a few different ways of laying the bristles into the fur, it worked beautifully without pulling. Seems to be good quality and Hertz is a trusted name in pet products, but only time will tell for sure how well they're made and will last.

Easily removes loose hair and mats from my long, curly haired maltipoo. Easy to get to hard to reach places like her neck and hind legs. This light weight brush was smaller than expected but not a problem. The handle was easy to grip. My dog does not like being brushed and seemed irritated equally with this brush. Brush does not feel sharp to my skin. I used very little pressure to brush through her fur.

Excellent. Durable. Removes fur, long and short. Easy to hold and clean. Improves amount of shedding. The small covers on ends of brush protects animal from painful scratches. Durable. I’ve owned one just like it for 15 years or more.

Great little grooming device by Hartz for de-shedding your kitty. The handle is very strong and comfortable.The slicker brush is designed on a slight angle to better groom your furry pals.I just tried it on my little guy and it gets under the top layer of fur into the loose ,shedding hairs. The bristles are metal with a coating on it. I would start off gently until your cat is accustomed to the sensation of the brush. Just apply gently and move over the entire body with steady gentle strokes. They will love it! Daily grooming your furry loved one provides a bonding experience as well as a healthy coat on your pet. This brush has kinda become a regular part of my dog’s pampering routine. I just run it through her coat and it picks up a ridiculous amount of loose fur without her making a fuss. Feels good in my hand, doesn’t get gross fast, and cleanup’s a breeze. Didn’t expect to care this much about a dog brush, but here we are

This brush is a good size for small and medium cats. The bristles are extremely sharp so it's hard to get the fur off of the bristles. My kids can't do it. That said, it does do a good job of getting the loose fur off the cats. I kept this brush but ended up buying another that has a release button to remove the fur and that one is much easier to clean.

Despite the affordable price, this brush is amazing for cats and dogs!I’m a pet sitter and I have been suggesting this particular brush too many of my cat clients and quite a few dog clients.The angles of the bristles help get through the coat and remove any dead coat as well as fluff up the coat.It’s gentle and feels very nice for The Pet.A lot of similar brushes that advertise to be amazing when in fact, the bristles are at the wrong angle and it really doesn’t get any hair out.In comparison to many other brushes that are very bulky and awkward to hold this one is very streamlined and comfortable. Not bulky in any anyway.The only kind of inconvenient thing is that it takes a little more effort to clean the brush, but you can use the vacuum and easily vacuum out any hair stuck in the brush.With many cats that I care for , I simply have to hold up the brush and they come running.I’ve used it on short haired cats, long haired cats, small dogs, Saint Bernards, and it has worked well on all of them.Love this brush
