Nice little cat brush!
I like the size of this brush for my cats. It’s a slicker brush, so has wire bristles & I don’t push down too hard so it’s not too rough. It works well, collects so much hair! It’s a little hard to get all the hair out and because it’s small I have to clean it often, but I love it because it works, the kitten doesn’t mind it & the 1 yr old loves it! She lays down to get brushed, purring the whole time! This is surprising since we adopted them only 4 months ago. They were strays & didn’t want to b touched at all for quite a while. I’ll buy a cheap plastic comb to run through the brush to remove the hair easier. Highly recommend.

Great brush!
It's definitely a small brush and would be better for a smaller dog, but it does a decent job of brushing and it works fine on my 30# dog. I kept this smaller brush for him as it works well for his face/beard, legs, and tail (the smaller areas of him). I recommend this brush, especially for smaller dogs or brushing smaller/finer areas.

The brush I’ve been searching for
Love this brush! I researched brushes for Ragdoll cats and this was recommended as one of the best I totally agree. Ragdolls do not have an undercoat like most cats and have sensitive skin. I have tried many diff styles but this is a clear winner. She did not mind it as much as the others and was able to get some fur and tangles out before she decided she was done 😁. My only “fault” is it’s a little hard to remove the fur from brush but that could be because hers is not the same as other cats. She felt so different after one grooming session. FINALLY!

Excellent brush for great price
It's an excellent product that our cat really enjoys. It is much better than other brushes I have used in getting the hair out.

Best Cat Brush on Amazon <3
I bought this brush first in 2017 and I'm writing this review in 2025 because I just bought 2 more. The first one I bought still holds up 8 years later, but some of the tines are coming out and my old cat doesn't like to share with my new cat so I'm buying new ones.At first I tried to buy some of those popular "self cleaning" brushes but what they don't tell you is that they're made of rigid plastic so they are not comfy for your pets! This Hartz brush is nice and cushiony and comfy for your pets. It is also the perfect size! I had trouble trying to find a pet brush that wasn't comically large for my cats and this one is perfect. My cats also love the triangle shaped head of the brush as it is perfect for grooming the sides of their faces.

My cats liked it right away
Some brushes are too soft or too rough, but this one is in between and works really well. I've tried several, and this seems to be one of the best ones. The bristles don't bend too easily, but they're also not too firm and do move when you'd expect them to. My cats didn't like The Furminator (which is an excellent mat removal brush), but they do like this one, if that helps you at all. It's a good small sized brush to get their cheeks and get the smaller areas on cats. I'm sure it would work for small dogs as well. It's not tiny, but more along the medium to small size for a brush. Easy to clean and remove hair from the bristles. I recommend it.

Calming, pleasant, productive, daily 5-minute or so productive session with your furry friend.
My wee cat loves it. She comes to me 3 or 4 times a day pushing the brush off the table or chewing on it, asking me to “Please brush me.” The fur comes out with a little effort but you don’t have to be a body builder or strap the cat down to get it down. Just be patient and look forward to some brushing time with your cat every day, a few minutes, and a purring bundle of thank-you afterwards.

Gets dirty fast
It's a slicker brush. There's not much to say besides it gets the job done at first thought but if you are disabled with fine motor issues this review is for you.1. The shape is great for getting close to sensitive areas my cat doesn't want brushed without crossing that boundary2. The thick handle and rubberized grip make holding the brush easier than many competitors3. The brush gets filthy with dust and hair that will not come off with soap and water from the brush. The black material used to hold the bristles is apparently sticky and will become forever soiled.4. There's no tool for getting the hair out of the bristles. As this is an issue for disabled people I will add getting a cheap comb works great. Just slide the more delicate end into the brush and lift the hair wad free.4. The bristles aren't capped and aren't rounded. This causes my cat some irritation. I don't choose the pressure as he actually just brushes himself if I hold the brush. He doesn't push hard at all so if you're heavy handed get something else.I don't think the cleaning issues are a big deal at this price but I am looking for something that's easier to clean and has an easier time with removing the clumps of fur.
